we know Hobby doesn't like to recruit and there was a bridge

Hobby isn't leaving the NFL to be a college DL coach

Bowers might be where Dabo goes

Likely going to be an interior specialist with Coach Ski already handling the DEs

Buckner would be a home run

agree - mentioned him a few weeks ago

Jan 3, 2022, 1:10 PM

or see if Buckner is interested after his season is over. Imagine Wes knows him well from the Arians connection and cross over in Arizona

I’d be happy with either of these!

Nick Eason is obviously closer to the college football scene than B.Buckner. That doesn't mean that B.Buckner would not be a success at Clemson ... but just sayin'

Both played in the NFL, and from what little I had heard both are fine men.

How stable is the Arizona job (Buckner)?

I'd guess, with Bryan Harsin underperforming (badly) at Auburn in 2021, that Nick Eason's long term employment situation at Auburn is less stable than B.Buckner's situation at AZ Cardinals.

But both seem to be excellent candidates, and whomever Dabo believes has the stronger interest (e.g., likely to remain happy at Clemson) would likely be a CDS criterion for hiring.

I would think Eason leaving to Clemson would be viewed as a lateral move other than coming back to his alamatar
