I think most of us knew down deep

that Georgia had a solid chance of winning that game due to our junk OL. I had a friend call me who is a gambler before the game and ask who he should take. I said I didn't know. He said, what if your life was on the line? I said Georgia. So he bet Georgia. I think we win the National Title next year though. I really do. This is a growing year for our offense. JMO. Go Tigers!

I admire your optimism but what makes you think that the OL is any better next year?

Because we have very good young talent that will mature. Our OL is only getting better the next few years.

No one here is questioning Brandon Streeter. Why? Frankly, I wasn’t all that impressed with the way Trevor Lawrence was developed, especially his Sophomore year. If U looked uncomfortable and out of sync, that’s on the quarterbacks coach IMO. Absolutely atrocious preparation. The lowest points scored since Dabo got here.

I don't really understand his job so I can't critique him. You could be right though. DJU looked like a true frosh out there playing in his first game.

Not sure of that, frankly.
Not only is the OL not talented, what talent there is simply isn't really developing. There were a boatload of things they were doing atrociously. They weren't picking up simple stunts. They weren't communicating. To a man everybody across the front had technical lapses like opening up their hips too quick that led to sacks...I saw every single O-lineman get whipped on multiple occasions, some of them in embarrassing fashion. That's just a poorly-coached unit, period.
Garbage in, garbage out. Caldwell needed to be gone years ago. He definitely should be gone tomorrow. After 11 years to build the fact that "we're a young O-line" simply is not an acceptable answer. The sad fact is we were basically starting a true frosh from IMG because he was more fundamentally sound than guys who had been in our program for years. And that's why OSU and UGA have absolutely whipped those guys up front our last two games.
In much the same manner as Oklahoma really isn't a top-tier team because of their endemic defensive problems, we aren't a top-tier team anymore because our OL is and has been endemically crap...and, frankly, because our offense has also gotten more than a little stale under Tony Elliott, who is not evolving with the times and has clear schematic weaknesses he's never addressed. People have a book on him now and he's just not switched up and he's kind of turning into another Rob Spence - utterly predictable and unimaginative, and immovably stubborn in his refusal to adapt.
Dabo's going to need to do some housecleaning if he wants to keep us up. Complacency has clearly set in and we are a program on the clear decline.

Quozzel nailed it.
I agree. Caldwell needs to announce his retirement and Dabo needs to tell Elliott to take a head coaching job and get a competent OC.

I agree for most of this except the recruiting part.
If you believe the recruiting experts, then we should be pretty good.
You mean to tell me that Boston College has recruited better linemen than we have?
I doubt that.
But they're committed to running the football. Now they also have a QB and wide receivers to complement the running game.
Dabo has just been content with throwing the ball all over the place.
Dabo gets paid millions to know more about football than I do, but I understand it enough to know that you have to run the football to be consistently good at the highest level.
I understand it enough to know it starts up front. Great OL and DL make it a lot easier to call plays.
Just my humble opinion.

I hope you are right, but I've been hoping for several years now.
This isn't just this year.
Even against weaker teams we've struggled running the football.
It's amazing to me how inept our play calling is.
Yes, DJ looked like he was lost, but we didn't exactly put him in the position to be successful.
I feel like we've abandoned the running game, and that was highlighted when we got 1st and goal at the 5 yard like and didn't even try to run the football at all.
Dabo is a smart football coach, but I feel like his loyalty and stubbornness is getting in the way.
I don't think he'll get rid of Elliott, and I think he'll try to spin that he did try to run the football.
