And a ###### good one. Love seeing him on the recruiting trail. This is where he shines. Finish 2022 strong and kick off 2023, Dabo!

React when he comes by. And I know Georgia won’t be hurt by one recruit. But you pulls guys scholarship a week before NSD and leaves kid in the lurch and now these high school coaches aren’t going to be your biggest fan. But Dabo is the real deal and those high school coaches (the ones looking for best for their kids) are going to sell Clemson for us.

Pardon the pun - but i am loving this comment! So true! There are still coaches and parents out there who want more for their kid. Thing is; Clemson even in today's environment makes the most sense "STILL"! Go to a top 50 public institution/graduate/play for championships/play for multi-National Championship winning coach who has put players hand over fist in the league! PAW journey - sets you up nicely for life after football!
Dabo has just been tremendous for Clemson and Clemson Football!

I like your perspective on Dabo's underdog mettle Striper.
What is your perspective on Dabo's need (based on IMG desertions) and ability to adjust his 2022 recruiting style from advanced reconnaissance and limited offers to "we want you now" tactical approach?

topic. Let me know if this is a fair assessment. When you're the big man and had the coordinators he had out there recruiting, I'm not sure I saw him travelling as much last couple of years. I know alot of that was due to COVID and then we also lost some with coords leaving. But what I love about him on the trail is people who've met him says he's the real deal. And if a coordinator leaves, it was Dabo they were "sold on" in the first place. I know he can't be everywhere, but I just love hearing him busting it on the trail.

3 of the 4 were an anomaly that occurred simply because BV left. Sabb to me never seemed firm. How does Dabo adapt? We're seeing part of it, him being more hands on. How our NIL develops I think will be very ethical, not paying every recruit, preaching you earn it. We'll continue to sell our culture, that the player will not simply be a commodity to be cast off if a better guy avails himself. Money is a two edged sword. It will appeal to a segment of recruits, but not to all. And to those it does, it kind of shows where their priorities are. Clemson's priorities are different.
Dabo has gone against the grain his entire career, in a good way. No one can sell that like him. Look at the quality of recruit we have coming in this weekend. I think those pronouncing our death due to the NIL are greatly exaggerating.

This is what's going to make the difference. And agreed, I don't think NIL is all bad but the ones who are after the most money are also the ones you're at the highest risk of losing due to higher bids, wanting to sit out before NFL etc. Point being this week more than any has made me feel better that we are heading the right way.

NIL IS all bad unless…

there are some very stringent restrictions placed on using NIL in recruitment as well as on the amounts that players can receive. Those rules would have to be enforced to an extent that the NCAA has proven they refuse to do that.
The system has been corrupted. And I am afraid that will not work for Dabo.

and when I stopped selling and living rent free on past sales & current customers, I eventually lost my economic edge.
Also, it’s not wise to depend on a sales person or crew since the potential or present customer likes to see The BOSS MAN/WOMAN once in a while..
thus DABO getting out there to touch the Flesh.

I see what's happening and think about him being a real estate agent and how he must have done at that job. I bet he could sell an acre lot to a rancher who already has 1000 acres.

I always remember what the administrator said about Dabo when he was a lowly assistant. He said every time he walked by one little office it was full of players talking and laughing with the coach. The administrator said he had to ask, “Who is that coach?” The rest is history.
