Agree with the Congrats, but not real sure of Norvell's role in the COVID-related cancelation of our Clemson-FSU game. However, FSU clearly owes Clemson reimbursement for the late notification. And even if Norvell was involved with the cancelation, he was not the FSU representative in charge of calling for the cancelation, or in owing us reimbursement.

I don't want to rip open a scab, but here is my position on the cancellation - and I posted it on this board the day it happened.
I understand blaming Norvell. He's the face of the program. He's the target. But, the decision to cancel the game was made at a MUCH higher level than him. Blame the President of FSU. He ultimately made the call. He listened to his lawyers and decided not to the play game. It was the wrong decision. It was a bad decision. Clemson handled the protocols exactly as they should have. The game should have been played. Clemson fans and players and coaches and administration have every right to be ticked off.

Bret my best friend was a FSU fan and he rubbed in every game we lost to them, we watched many of the games together but two years ago he lost his two year battle with terminal cancer.
I’d give anything to watch another game with Tim Smith, he was a true man of character an an incredible father, leader, mentor and FSU’s #1 fan.

of the teams in the ACC but now it's different. Now with all the realignment and playoffs, we need the ACC to perform well. If we don't get into the SEC or Big 10, the ACC needs to at least be better than the Big 12 and Pack 12.

It’s the way of the world these days. Normally, I would be more than inclined to agree with you, but for almost two decades, we have been inundated by this relentless “conference superiority” crap by the ESPNOWOURRATINGSSUCK Sports Network. This national media outlet, along with some others, has done nothing but committed to the cause of all things BIG TEN/SEC. And, while that would be one thing one might could eventually just ignore, it has been coupled with the resonating sound of how bad the ACC is as a conference. While I hate most ACC schools as much as the rest, I find I share A LOT more in common, as a fan, with the fan bases of the Upper South/ACC than with any other part of the country. This has led me to my fair share of gleeful excitement each time I see one of the SEC schools get thumped. In fact, my real disdain began in 2009 as I had to listen to those goobers shout that “SEC, SEC” nonsense at the Tigers while I sat with my wife in the place they call Williams-Brice. I told my wife how lame I thought that it was to do that, so I always consider rooting against the SEC as rooting against the Shamecocks since they are the eternal keepers of the SEC front runner flame. A double win! ?. Go Tigers!

Congrats bretfsu on last nights win!!! Great for FSU and the ACC!!! FSU looked good with the exception of the coaching decisions…no fg at the end of the half and the quick pitch call at the end of the game we’re head scratchers and decisions not very conducive to championship football!!! But the players and team looked good and played very hard so kudos to them and y’all!!!
