most probably out for the game Saturday, can we get it done with the backups? Especially in light of the fact that will put our OL depth on life support and require no injuries? Louisville has a twisting / stunting attacking defense, seems like a bad match up playing reserves on no rest...

Not trying to knock any player on a personal level as these are all kids doing their best to win. The coaches decide who is on the field. We lost Bock at Center/LG a couple games back. He really struggled at center and went back to his former position when Trotter started playing center. So, the past couple games has been all true freshman Marcus Tate at LG. Anyone notice where our run success normally comes? B gap between Tate and McFadden who both got great blocks on the last TD run. I think Tate is our second best lineman. Now to Center. OK, both Trotter and Rayburn have struggled and both have been hurt. Coming into the season I believe Rayburn was a bit ahead of Trotter. Rayburn is 2 inches taller and 40 lbs heavier based on the roster info. Should not lose much if anything if Rayburn can go. To RG. WP has struggled all last year and this year IMO and he tried to play hurt the last game. Just a thought that Paul Tchio might be a better option from the get go. Won't talk about our RT issues but let's talk back up. Mitchell Mayes was rated as the #2 tackle in the country coming out of HS. I don't have an opinion on his limited performance thus far but in a pinch, he could certainly be moved to guard if Tchio nor Putnam prove capable. My take is that in several cases the younger back ups may have a lot more upside than the established starters. Just my opinion from watching Tate from day one and a little bit of Tchio.
