Had to load mine down with tobasco sauce when I got stuck with one. But still it was disgusting.

You’re very welcome and I’m sure I still have some out in the garage you can try out. It was always a good time watching the nieces, nephews and kid’s friends try one when they visited.

However; I did acquire a taste for the ham, and it was either apple sauce or pineapple sauce, I don't remember.

I saw some old C rats in a warehouse one time. Nobody had the guts to open one up and eat it.

Believe it or not, they were actually kinda fresh tasting. Although, the little canned sweet roll, that came with them, was so hard, if someone got hit in the head with it, it would knock them unconscious.

in the Dominican Republic. They had shipped X number down there and weren't going to ship them back so we didn't get to B rations until they were all gone. Some of them weren't to bad, but as you said there was stuff that would have been against the Geneva Convention to feed POWs.
