I really hope Trump doesn't run again

I generally liked what he did as POTUS, but like many, I did not like how he did it. He shot himself in the foot so many times with all of his stupid tweets and sticking his nose where it didn't belong (like the NFL and NBA). If he had just stuck to governing, he would've won in a landslide (I know, I know - he did win, but it was stolen - point is if he had stuck to governing and not ticking people off, he would have won in such a landslide that it would've been impossible to cheat).
He's too divisive. We need someone who can not just pass the right legislation and say the right things, but who can at least make an attempt to bring unity to the county (the left will never go along with the right, or vice versa, but there's a LARGE middle ground that can be brought on board with either party).
I'd love to see some young blood run for POTUS from the GOP in 2024. Nikki Haley, Kristi Noem - either would be great. I don't think deSantis would run and he'd get steamrolled just for COVID. But there are plenty of other good options out there that would be much better for the GOP and, most importantly, for the country.

"Unity" no longer means what it used to. Unity means that just enough republicans cow-tow to the left that we "the people" believe bi-partisanship exists.
The left would destroy Nikki or Kristi (they are already attacking her daughter and implying she's had affairs), with the same fervor that they went after Romney. Trump got elected because he was just as dirty; and I was pleasantly surprised by his policies.
The left sees DeSantis and Noem as real contenders; so they began trying to destroy them the day after the election.

I agree, but what needs to be done - as pretty much always in presidential elections - is attract the moderates. The GOP will vote for Trump if he's the only option. The Dems will vote for Biden if he's the only option. It's the rest of the electorate that needs to be won over, and I think too many are still turned off by Trump's general demeanor to vote for him and we run the risk of losing the WH again.
I'm confident that the GOP will win the House and Senate in 2022, and if we put up even a halfway decent candidate in 2024, we'll win POTUS, but if we put up Trump again, there's a good chance Biden wouldn't run again (if he even knows he's president at that point) and the Dems could easily put up someone who could beat Trump.
If nothing else, it should be someone's policies that turn them off to the other party, not their personality. Obama could say "You're an idiot" with such smile on his face that you'd go, "Ok, cool, thank you!" But Trump says it with feeling and scorn and you feel like the idiot he claims you are (granted, he was usually right, but that's not good leadership, IMHO).

He didn't win, and the election wasn't stolen.

Point being, if he'd kept his mouth shut and his Twitter fingers quiet then he would've won by such a margin that cheating wouldn't even have been an issue.

order to cast him in the worst light possible. But at the end of the day, he had full control over his own words and communications, and chose poorly. In that regard, he has no one to blame but himself...which of course, he won't.

But there WAS cheating. How much? Who knows, because will freak out before they agree to take a close look. If there was NO cheating, they should welcome a real audit, right? We know that ballot harvesting happened a LOT!

Many audits and recounts have been done, and yet, you got NOTHING. LoL. It's been almost a year and you guys have yet to provide the goods. How embarrassing for you to keep carrying on with The Big Lie despite the absence of evidence. Keep on clowning dude.

it was all by social media and if you do not believe that you are blind. From censoring and shadow banning to the whole "disinformation" alerts. Social media swayed this election like never before and we know where they stand.

The only reasons he would run would be motivated by revenge IMO. Regardless of how you feel about the guy, is that the type of mentality we want/need in the WH?

I agree. I will not vote for him in a primary.

But would 100% pick him over Biden. I wasn't sure last time, but Biden was worse than I thought. Kamala would be bad too. There are probably a few dems I'd vote for over Trump, but they won't get nominated because they'd be to far center. The left wing owns the party.

If he runs the Dems most likely keep the WH despite the Biden/Harris level of ineptitude which has exceeded my expectations by a lot.
Trump’s ego has no bounds. He probably will run and if so will win the nomination. He’s not electable unless Biden/Harris continue their current trajectory.
I would love a centrist independent ticket which might have a puncher’s chance with a Trump/ Biden, Trump/Harris choice.

At this point I just have no words for anyone in this country who would vote for Biden or Harris over Trump. I’m truly perplexed. How bad does it have to get? Venezuela bad? Cuba bad?

Yes, we should vote for clowns who accuse talk show hosts of murdering secretaries that work for them. Or insinuate that the father of one of their political opponents assassinated JFK? Do you ever sit back and notice the level of crazy that you support? Really?

Do you sit back and truly look at what democrat / socialists are doing to this country? It’s pretty easy if you try.

If it got to those levels I would definitely vote for Trump over Biden. Until then I'd vote for ramen noodles over Trump

And I feel just as strongly the other way…there’s no candidate the dems could run that would make me vote for Trump…Biden, Harris, AOC, Bernie, Satan…wouldn’t matter. With that said, I’d rather vote for a pub…any pub not affiliated with and/or endorsed by Trump.

You mentioned 5 potential democrat candidates in your post. I really don’t see any differences in the 5 so just take your pick.

To be fair, Satan would probably run as an independent with a strong Libertarian platform…but I guess I could live with that.
