I noticed from the scoreboard pics everyone has been posting

that the purple wrap above the video board no longer identifies the ACC championship years or the National Championship year. I find it odd that these have gone away since we won the ACC last year for the first time in 20 years. Does anyone know of any plans to identify these somwehere else in the stadium?

1981 National Champs is on the west endzone facade

and I think the flags over the West Endzone are for each conference championship.

It's not economical to make new coverings every year for all the titles we are about to win, thus they decided to go this new route ;)
