I can't really fault them at all. Keep yourself safe from injury in a meaningless game with very few to no fans, get ready for the NFL Combine.

Yeah, no fans, no swag, no week of events, and they have all been couped up for months.
I'd like to see them stay within the program, but I can see their point.

One look at the records of some of the Bowl teams was enough to confirm that all the games but the Playoffs should have been cancelled. Brutal games including the one today.

will soon become irrelevant and cease to exist, unless ESPN can prop up the hotels, restaurants, etc in cities that host the games. When the best players opt out then fans will loose interest in going and the cities will loose the financial benefits of the game.

I know this sounds like my grandfather but I honestly think this is part of what is wrong with society today. Everyone is so selfish they don’t think about anything but themselves. I hope the opt outs this year are worse due to Covid and that maybe next year there will only be a few.
