Andrew Booth Jr. is just like Mackenzie Alexander was…

… in how he makes open field tackles so well.

A little bigger and better IMHO. But both brought strong effort!

I like that comp if for no other reason I remember having to rewatch games to see Mack in coverage. Opposing teams almost never threw his way. I’ve noticed that with Booth as well.

I love Clemson defensive players like that - Simmons was like that too- where when you focus on them alone every play you see over and over again how good they really are.

Flowers got him a couple times last night. But yes the kid is a baller. Unfortunately, he gone after this season. Looks like a 1st round lock if he keeps playing like he is.

You know he's the best player in the secondary because you never hear his name called. Highest complement you can get back there.

I must have been watching a different game last week

Oct 3, 2021, 9:25 PM

because I thought NC State threw almost every pass in his direction- and BC quite a few this week and he made a few tackles because his man was open a lot & made catches

His name got called a few times for open space tackles up at the line of scrimmage, which is exactly what he's supposed to do on a swing pass. Rarely hear him in the backfield.

I think Mack might have been a little better in coverage, but I can’t remember a CB who was as good tackling in open field or as aggressive and eager to be involved in run support.

Justin Miller. But not as good in coverage.
