Ohio St and Penn state and I got landblasted by a bunch of old farts on here. Har har, they’re not on the Atlantic coast they said.
Now we’re going to add Okie state ? Seems weird but.. go for it?

I saw an article that - if the SEC picks up both Oklahoma and Texas - that the projected payouts to each of its members in 2024 is $90 by the SEC and $80 to 85 million by the Big Ten. No other leagues were close to those figures. Also, check out some of the massive TV markets in Big Ten territory, My question now, why would a team leave the Big Ten for the ACC ? Like it or not, it all comes down to money

I fail to see a scenario where a top tier B1G school would defect to the ACC. They have a superior TV contract with significantly higher per-school payouts.

If the ACC were to land ND, Ohio St and Penn St then the ACC could renegotiate the ESPN contract with a value closer to what the SEC is projected to get. Maybe even more considering the size of the fan bases of ND and Ohio St. and the draw of Clemson playing those teams during the regular season.

You think contracts would remain the same if they lost 2 of their top members ?
I hate Ohio state but they’re a top program right now. I’d like to have a couple top 5 teams during the season

You are certainly correct. Adding them would put the ACC in a whole other tax bracket.
I just have a very hard time seeing any top B1G team defecting to the ACC. OSU, Penn St and Michigan all are arguably more storied, and undoubtedly more valuable television-wise than any ACC school. Further, they have great rivalries that they would be loath to break up. Same for the SEC, why would any of those schools join us to play WF, Duke, Syracuse, etc. Face it, the ACC barely moves the needle.
