Atleast it’s not Beth Mowens!

I vote we keep the screentime of the announcers focused on Molly McGrath.

I've always thought Molly McGrath was among the prettiest sideline reporters for ESPN. Good ACC girl from Boston College. She called our last game at Chestnut Hill (2016) and was very professional.

Gack! Mark Jones is barely half a step above Beth Mowins.
Guess we can't expect much better for this particular game.

Maybe she should call the game with the other guys on the sidelines.

Louisville against that spread. Don't get me wrong, I hope we win by 50. But coming off a 49 point margin last week I just don't see us hanging 40 on UL. If for no other reason because Dabo will clear the benches and have the 3rd string in by the time we're up by 4 TDs.

Sigh...had written a great reply regarding this issue, almost poetic! But alas, I lost it all in an errant Backspace press while the focus had somehow moved out of the text box and I don't currently have the will power to try to rewrite more or less what I had written.
But just keeping it simple, suffice it to say that Beth Mowens is nice and knowledgeable enough but some of us just don't want to hear yet another woman's (shrill/nagging/whatever) voice while we are trying to zone out and enjoy one of the last great escapes men are 'allowed' to take for a few hours each week in this day and age without being labeled as toxic masculinity. So, I hope this trend doesn't continue to take off.
Maybe it sounds a bit chauvinistic and maybe it is, but it's not really the point. I don't mean to offend anyone by what I'm saying, but if you ARE offended, then yeah...my post is most likely for you.
Let female announcers commentate the female sports. I don't want to hear them.
I'm sure some of you agree completely, some agree and can't admit it and others completely disagree and are maybe even offended.
But it's just my thoughts on the situation, nothing of any real consequence, and the fact that it could cause any upset just goes to show what a sad state of affairs we are living in these days.

It's your opinion so it doesn't matter to anyone else . We're all entitled to our feelings , last I checked . If Mowins would work on her colloquial pronunciation of the word " yards " I would give her a pass . I think she is a pretty solid commentator , but that one word which is used about 150× in a football game is tje part of her broadcast that drives me nuts . She says Yaahrds ... and it's in my head now so I hear it each and every time . Other than that though , no problem with Beth Mowins as an announcer .
