Traffic in Charlotte

The traffic before the game downtown in Charlotte was a mess. Do the Panthers not have any fans? It looked like Charlotte never had a big crowd before.

im sure but not everyone wants to tailgate or get there that early, for the ones who do thats awesome i have arrived many times before in charlotte around 2 hours before kickoff and had no issues but i knew this would be different . i arrived 4 hours before kickoff, no reason for lots to be oversold. they have plenty of experience by know how many each lot can hold. i was thrilled that i found the parking deck just down the road and easy in and easy out back on 77 within about 15 mins..

With people coming by cars versus light rail. All the construction and Police that couldn’t manage a 2 car funeral - it was nonsense. 1 hour to go a block to my garage parking spot.

It took us over an hour to get out of our parking space, not garage...space!

i wil consider the refinery again for events there, we were about 3/10 of a mile from 77 . i was in and out parking deck and back on i77 within abut 15-20 mins max.. that worked out perfectly for me .. i paid 65 found parking for 20 a bonus. but ParkWhiz did a terrible job with overselling lots..

It took me an hour and 45 minutes to get out of my parking garage, so not a good experience.
