Here's another traffic right-of-way conundrum that I

don't know the answer to even with 30+ years of driving. I can't find an exact diagram or answer, but in the one below, on the right side where cars are using the center median correctly, let's say the red car is turning left onto the 2 lanes going south. When I drop the kids off, I'm pulling out of the road on the left to go through the median, and turn left to go north.
Who has the right of way? I'm going straight to the median, red car is turning left, so that would seem to indicate I do. But the red car also doesn't have a stop sign, and I do. IF red car had any sign, it would be a Yield, I assume. So who technically has the ROW?

would be my guess. I would rather let that person complete their u turn though as I do not trust other drivers.

the diagram is correct all day long. Pull the one on the left and you are going to get smashed to smithereens.
Its called a Michigan Left. Most are one ways, but there are a lot of two ways, especially by large shopping centers and such. I will try and snag you a picture next time I see a two lane.

My question isn't about which of those is correct, and

surprisingly, most people handle that part correctly. If red car is positioned correctly and turning left (second/right diagram), and I'm going straight to the median where red car is: who has ROW and who yields? It always ends up being gestures and waves to "go on", because neither of us knows.

so you have no choice but to stop and wave that car out in front of you. And hope you're not rear-ended by some teenager looking at her text messages instead of watching what you are doing.
Personally when in that situation, I keep going and just catch the next safe turn. You are playing russian roulette with multiple loaded chambers dealing with that many potential idiot drivers at once.

Once open carry passes in South Carolina, they'll be able to attend the schools they're actually zoned for on a level playing field with the other kids.

I experience this often turning into a favorite spot in town, and yes, the one of the right is correct. See a lot of people get it wrong, though.
If you are already in the middle, the car turning into the median has the right of way.
