That Clemson was going to leave the ACC? 1st time I've ever heard this...:
"Yep - they verbally agreed to leave the ACC when we did. They lied, of course and stayed. At least that is what I have heard and read many times. One of the reasons true/old Gamecock fans learned to hate them. Then they won NC by cheating courtesy of good ol` Danny Ford."

Anytime someone makes a salacious claim like that, I immediately ask, “where are your sources?” Secondly, “who are your sources?” Thirdly, “Are they credible?” Lastly, “What is your relationship to the source?” I suspect that Mr. Shamecock can’t answer any of those questions. Not one. That’s nothing but a bunch of crap, I’d say.

Tell the idiots therein that their former AD, Mike McGee told a Columbia resident attending Shandon Baptist Church that prior to joining the SEC their “beloved” university approached the ACC about actually rejoining, but because their budget (Metro Conference) was insufficient they could not afford the reentry fee!! How pathetic!

And their story about our probation is light years from what actually happened. No Natty was "bought" in any way whatsoever. The recruits at the center of it from tn never even played a snap at Clemson.
