Any suggestions for Microsoft Flight Simulator updates?

I am very new at it and went to start it up yesterday and it has a mandatory update. When I go to run the update (227 files and 170.88GB) it begins the download and then keeps resetting back to 0 and starting again. The farthest I have gotten is 6 files and around 115MB. I have little to no computer savvy and would appreciate any help or direction I can get. TIA

for years. Has a dedicated cockpit rig etc. He’s been through many many updates and I’m pretty sure he would be happy to help you out.

Just my WAG, you might need a computer with more umph

Thanks, I will get in touch with him. My hardware has the umph; however, I am lacking the umph between the ears. Thanks again.

Just letting you know what the BEST/ONLY solution I could find was. I had to throttle back the bandwidth to 480kb and it has run for two days now and is on schedule to complete the update around midnight on Sunday. Anything higher and it continued to reset and start over. At least it will work again then. Thanks again for your help.
