is a great pass mid to long range that supercharges his confidence. I am going to guess that Dabo and team gameplan for GT a set of plays that lets O-Line establish itself and uses run game to put DJ in good down/distance.
I would hate to see 1st series as a 3rd and long.

Don't worry about what kind of pass we throw, worry that DJ has enough time to throw it. The pass will be a swing to an RB or a pass to a TE. We are not Air Clemson.

Whatever play it is, I hope it's a completion. No passes thrown at feet; Nice and easy that the receiver finishes the play.

I hope he does good. With that said, rewatching the spring game the other night and to me, he didn’t look much better.

I suspect the coaches will take a lot of things into consideration.
1. What kind of D will GT be in? Will they be playing press man, 3 deep, 2 deep with man under?
2. Do their LBs bite on play action? Do they take quick drops on 3rd and long?
3. Will they likely be blitzing?
And 7 or 8 other things I have no idea of.
I presume the first pass will be a play with several receivers on routes and it will be DJ's responsibility to hit the guy who is open, whether it is the guy on the fly, or the skinny post, or the shallow cross or the back in the flats.
If you asked me to guess I would guess the guy open will be running a curl.
