I have to say it. It rankles that the only school currently

in the ACC that has ANY Heisman Trophy winners is Florida State. It just does. And, knowing where that one other former ACC Heisman resides is even worse. That is all.

CORRECTION: My memory is obviously the next thing to go. The Coots left the ACC in 1971, long before George Rogers won his doorstop.

So, FSU is the ONLY school to have Heisman winners while a member of the ACC.

FURTHER CORRECTION: I also forgot that Lemeur Jackson won Deshaun Watson's Heisman in 2016.

They are both currently in the ACC.

Sorry. Didn’t know what you were going after.

You misunderstood the OP! Miami & Syracuse had winners

before they joined the ACC. George Rogers won the award while playing for then ACC member Usuc!

I was wrong about that. Coots exited the ACC after the 1971

season. They were either Independent, or maybe the defunct Metro Conference when he won his Heisman.

uof6c was not in the ACC when GR won the Heisman...

GR won the Heisman in 1980.

uof6c left the ACC in 1971 following numerous disputes over the ACC's recruiting regulations among other things. uof6c remained an independent in football until 1991 when they joined the $EC.

It’s about to happen.

I’m more concerned with team accomplishments. But DJ will kick the door down.

Your "correction" is wrong. Lamar in 2016.

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

...and didn't Lamar and Loserville lose 4 of their last 5 games that season, while DW4 won the National Championship?

Go Tigers, and God bless Trevor Lawrence, his new wife, their future, and all things Clemson!!!
