i agree he's our best chance, but he's not actually taking over a high octane offense. 21 pts against a terrible UGA defense and 17 points last night is sad. if we don't come up w/ a balanced attack that is truly offensive, our defense is going to falter.

You sir hit the nail on the head. This offense run by Morris is too gimmickie and is not built on a solid foundation of football. There is absolutely no excuse for not having a short yardage package with the QB under the center. No excuse. Second, our coaches continue to choke in big games with a few, very few exceptions. You mean to tell me that they can't find a place kicker who can hit those field goals. Coach V is the only one of the 3 who seems to get it and he coached a hell of a game last evening. The other two were, once again, complete failures. Under pressure they fold mentally like a cheap suit. They are not mentally tough and sho absolutely no signs of improving. Fact is i like Dabo very much and I'm sure Chad is a very nice fellow but if you think that this pair will lead this program to the playoffs, please get off the drugs!

I said he would get over 50% of the snaps, but I believed

it would happen because we weren't being effective enough offensively to win. Stoudt was moving the ball, but it was clear Watson had more raw talent when he was put in.
Only the coaches knew Watson had never taken a snap under center. I think I would have called Stoudt in to run that play.
I will never understand all of the run plays.

...had he made that TD completion to Legget early on. Of course any of our thoughts are just speculation.

That's what cost Cole his starting job.

Cole fell backward to avoid the hit which is precisely why the ball hit Legget in the feet. Everyone saw DW stand straight and tall, hold his ground, take the hits and deliver the ball like a man all night.

I'll be honest.

I lied when I said he would 'take over,' the starting job during this game. What I really believed was that the coaches, out of respect to someone who had put his heart and soul into this team from the backup QB's position, would let this develop naturally in order to prove to that backup that he'd been soundly beaten out of the starting job he'd earned.
If one of you arm chair coaches (second guessing, hind sighted idjits) can diagram that sentence I'll muster a least bit of respect for your opinion.
Disclaimer: That last sentence was not directed to or at TonyTiger in any manner. The following statement is, If crack leads one to see the obvious perhaps many here could benefit from a sizable rock.
