I have a request for those Tigers blessed enough to be in

Jan 8, 2017, 2:00 PM

Raymond James stadium tomorrow night:

There are many, many Tigers who simply don't have the means to be there; they can't get vacation time, or they're stationed half-way around the world as duty and Country call; or they have funerals, or weddings, or births to attend to; or they have more important obligations such as taking care of sick children, or elderly parents, or disabled spouses.

So after our beloved Tiger athletes finish what they set out to do a year ago, and you savor the final death rattle of what's left of a once-proud pachyderm; as you hear our Tiger Band strike up one last rousing rendition of our Alma Mater for this season, I simply ask you to please embrace those around you with a little more warmth, sway from one side to the other with a little more pride, and sing just a little deeper and just a little louder; and as you're making that Tiger's roar "echo o'er the mountain height", please think about, if only for a few seconds, all of us Tigers, both the quick and the dead, who couldn't be there to enjoy such glorious night with you all.

Thank You, God Speed, and Go Tigers!

Easier said than done ??

I wanted so badly to sing the alma mater after the Orange Bowl last year, and literally couldn't get the words out because I was crying. Not afraid to admit that. I gave up trying after the first couple lines and just stood there in tears.

Can't even imagine the feelings tomorrow night when we win it all.

Go Tigers!

There's a 100,000 out there who know exactly how you feel.

Amen! You have a borderline moral obligation to

Sing, cheer, yell, and generally be louder than you ever have before.

Make it Death Valley South.

The rest of us in Tiger Nation will be there in spirit.
