I had a weird encounter with him. Was living on Keowee when

he got hired. I had a lease/option and had decided not to purchase. Even though I had two months left on my lease, I decided to let the owners go ahead and list the house because the agent was a friend of mine.
Got a call one Sunday around 10am. The agent was in a panic to show the house...even though the contract said "No Showings on Sunday". GF and I were going to eat an early brunch and then head out for a hike, so I gave the okay.
Instead of showing up at noon as the agent said, he shows up at 11:15 just as GF (wearing only a tee shirt) and I had set down to a brunch of chicken tenders (homemade), fries, and some good toast. When I opened the door, half of the Clemson coaching staff is standing there with the agent and Rich Bisaccia...a new coach just hired and searching for a home. They came into my house and went in every direction. GF and I were pissed, so we went out on the deck to just get out of the way until they were gone. Some guy...Les Herring, I think...had come out on the deck over us and was staring down at GF until she finally went off on him. He kind of smirked and walked away.
They eventually left. GF and I went back inside only to find all of our food was gone! I guess those guys were so uppity they thought we had cooked for them! My "friend" agent sent me $250 in gift certificates to local establishments to try and make peace.

Had a coach time tell me that Bisaccia was a snake and not to be trusted when I was at Clemson (97-00). That always stuck with me for some reason.
I never knew what caused him to say that as he never spoke ill of anyone else during my time there.

I thought Tommy's downfall was he didn't have and keep a good OC. Clyde Christianson co-OC left after 2 and Rick Stockstill was co-OC for 2 but left. Then Daryl Moody ! then Steve Ensminger 2. He went through DCs too.

More simply, Tommy wasn't ready to be a head coach.
I think he had better go round at Memphis, but didn't get the support from the administration he should have.

I remember him well. Both sons attended summer camp and Rich was standing near the moat by the practice fields wearing a No Fear hat and T shirt. The No Fear brand had just become popular. West pulls up in his Ford Crown Victoria and another assistant says “Richie, better go put on your Nike gear. The Boss is here” Biasscia doesn’t move. West walks by him and says “ No Fear huh?”
Rich takes off to the McFadden building and the assistant laughs and says “ Whete you going man?” Rich says “to change clothes. I don’t want him to send me back to Columbia!” Tommy had just hired him that year snd the previous couple of years he was with the Gamecocks. Love that he knew then he never wanted to be a Coot again
