I got tickets to last years natty for

Jan 1, 2017, 2:23 PM

$500
On stubhub, lower deck Clemson side and this year I am seeing $800+for any ticket. What's up? Why the big increase? I was hoping to take the whole family but cannot at that price.

I have a hotel room I reserved since January I may have to let go.

^This. Both schools are within driving distance and it's an easy trip to get there. Last year required air travel across the country for most fans on both sides. This is going to be an expensive ticket with lots of demand. Things may dip as we get closer to the game, but people right now are putting up exorbitant numbers on tickets and seeing if they can sucker in those not wanting to miss out.

Last year, almost every fan from both schools had to fly to Phoenix, which knocked out a lot of potential attendees.

This year, the destination is well within driving range of both schools, so the number of folks who are interested in (and can afford to go) is greatly increased.

I don't think that prices are coming down at all from where they are today.

Tickets will come down. Some tickets according to seat geek have come down 15% since last night. Also all the people that are getting tickets from the schools that are selling tickets can't sell right now. They don't have there tickets yet or know where they are sitting. The market will get flooded 48 hrs from now. Same thing happened last year.

Re: I got tickets to last years natty for - correct

At least 25% of tickets from both schools will end up on secondary market. Prices will come down noticeably Wednesday or so.

But when prices come down, I think you will see a lot of buyers and they may go back up by this time next week.

Yea im hoping to somehow find a Clemson fan willing to sell to another

Jan 1, 2017, 2:44 PM

For a reasonable price. We want Clemson fans to pack the stadium I would hope. I'm willing to pay above face but not double to quadruple the price. Face is $400 I believe, I'd be willing to pay around $600. They get a profit and a Clemson fan gets a seat. If not oh well.

Face value is $450-$550 I believe.

Jan 1, 2017, 3:38 PM

I don't think you will see them available at that low of a price on the secondary market though.

I've said it several times but worth repeating....don't buy tickets yet. Everybody hang on and wait 3-4 days. If people stop buying now and wait for the school's tickets to hit the market, prices will drop dramatically.

Tampa is within driving distance of both school, plus the stadium this year holds about 7000 less than the stadium in AZ.
