I gonna keep asking......

Where is our version of “garnet trust”? Coots are already up and running with this NIL thing. Advertising openly and proudly that they “take $ from superfans and pay players for autographs, appearances, etc. and it’s all completely legal.” I feel like we’re not even playing catch-up right now, we’re not even playing the game at all.

Well I mean it is the only way they have a shot at getting players lol, but you are right we do need to get the ball rolling I’m sure it will be looked at this offseason. Hopefully Neff can come up with something big.

Yep. We are so far behind right now.
EVERY team in the ACC has NIL programs setup for their team. Did we basically give up on football? Because that is what is going to happen being the only team that doesn't pay their players.

The funny thing about that is NIL has nothing to do with Dabo. If our boosters and donors dont start it up on their own then we just can't compete recruiting these players. Our location and lack of mega boosters is a huge negative to Clemson.

This is the cess pool of posts forsure do some research, Dabo set up a division to help help the players with NIL & has been on the forefront of being legal & helping them market themselves with training!

NIL advice is NOT the same as a Clemson booster NIL non profit that pays players.
South Carolina has the ONLY NIL program in the state that pays their athletes. We have nothing like Garnet Trust.

It effects player differently. Bryce Young had a 1 million dollar NIL deal before he stepped on campus and won the Heisman. Money effects people differently.

It’s becoming a big part of recruiting and Dabo can’t ignore it (I’m not suggesting that he is).
If you don’t think plenty of coaches are telling recruits about NIL and how their school will be a good support for them getting NIL endorsements, then you are being naive.
NIL isn’t just about being in a big city or going to a huge school with tons of alumni. It’s also about playing for a top program that is visible and that puts players in the NFL.
The same can-do attitude Dabo had about making Clemson football a winner despite being a smaller school in a smaller market should be applied to NIL.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but DJ got several large NIL endorsements so it can be done at Clemson, no problem.

Then why do you make sarcastic, trolling posts daily complaint that he is ignoring it.

I guess you think the three programs are on equal footing? Not sure if you are really that dense or if it is plain old dishonesty

Soccer nor football were on the footing they are now when their current coaches took over. Basketball is on lesser footing than when it’s coach started. And he’s had just as long as those other two to figure out what he needs.

We just lost 3 recruits due to NIL. Just sit back and watch the rich schools start paying our players to play for them. It's guaranteed.

...during your daily passive-aggressive trolling BS. Your jealousy of our football program and Dabo is laughable. You can only dream of the day that BB has that kind of earned equity. And it will never happen.

I was listening to Brandon Wimbush on the Andy Staples Podcast. He is CAO of a company called MOGL that connects athletes with NIL deals and checks out the contracts to determine what the different schools/conferences etc allow and to make sure the deals are above board. What I found interesting is that he said that Darien Rencher has been very involved. It made me wonder if Darien might help connect some of our recruits to NIL deals in the future.

IPTAY needs to be reworked to an NIL trust. Clemson doesn't seem to have the big $$$ donors the bigger schools have. The only way to stay in this game is a crowdfund project.
Get read to pony up that monthly donation to $100 per fan.
Also, pay attention to the schools that are paying players jersey sales profit. That's a quick easy, NIL win. UNC is doing. I'm guessing that is how they beat Clemson on all those 5 stars this cycle.

I think Dabo is working on the NIL thing. Shipley said Dabo called him about the T-shirts. Also, interesting Shipley said something about his AGENT handling things.

IPTAY and the CUAD structure will be impacted. But I feel the impact will be by default. My understanding is the school cannot be involved in the NIL company. So we need a booster to start the company. Fans will need to make monthly or annual donations to the new NIL company. This new company will be the default way to get money to the players. The athletes can also add to their income by getting additional NIL deals on their own.
Fans that have their annual Clemson money budgeted will have a decision to make. Give the money to IPTAY, the new NIL company, or split between the two. This is how IPTAY and the CUAD structure will be impacted. I personally feel that IPTAY will have less money coming in. As a result, the CUAD will have to become lean in structure and salaries. I believe that we will see some sports dropped.
The final piece will be the non IPTAY donating football fans. I am not talking about those that do not have extra money. I have family and friends in this group. Please keep pulling for Clemson. I am talking about the ones that pick up football tickets on the cheap to “save money” and brag about it. It is time for this group to get off of the money. It going going to take all of us that can give to keep Clemson Athletics afloat. No more free rides.

There will emerge a new sector of fans as well. The ones who work their butts off for a living and find the funds to donate to IPTAY but are now getting enough of all of this BS that is college football and don't really care about an 18 year old getting a million dollars a year and are certainly not going to help them do it. These "fringe" fans have always been around and make up a large part of the Clemson support structure. These people are technical minds that are smart, pragmatic and frugal. They are as you can imagine, busy with work and family and the time they have for Clemson football is not set aside but if they have the time and opportunity. They don't have the time or patience for what is about to happen in the college football world and the BS that is NIL. You will see most of these folks lose interest and simply find better things to do.

You are right. I have my line in the sand as well. If I get pushed too far, I will switch my annual donation to CUTBA. I love Tiger Band.
