Well, it's a complete rebuilding year with 8 starters lost off the offense and 2 off the defense. A true freshman at QB and no running game to speak of. And they are playing for the SEC championship again. I would not underestimate Nick Saban and his staff and would expect them to put together a good game plan that makes this a close game. You don't just roll the helmets out on the field and beat Bama. Too much talent even if they are young and have some holes.

All true. Bammer will be fortunate to run for 75 yards. Vegas has the dogs as a 6 point favorite. On paper it looks like more than that. UGA has the horses. Has their secondary been tested by a Heisman candidate such as B Young? Still picking the dogs, just see it as a competitive game. Past that, I don't see a real challenge from Cincy and whoever else makes it in.

Your point about Bryce Young is a fair one. I'm doubtful (hopeful, anyway) that Young won't have much time to stand in the pocket and let things develop downfield. I expect they will move the pocket and give him a chance to make plays with his legs.

are the only teams UGA has played that are still ranked. Their schedule looked strong at the beginning of the season, but now meh. Hope they haven't become complacent since they finished the season with UF, Missouri, Tennessee, Charleston Southern, and GT.
It pains me to say this, but I hope they beat Alabama so the CFP committee will reluctantly leave Alabama out and put Cincinnati at #4 for an easy semifinal for UGA (no ESPN influence here). Maybe this bowl UGA won't have to kick a 53 yard FG in the last few seconds to win it like last year.

UGA seems to be a team like LSU who could not be stopped.
Alabama has talent.
For example all know (In spite of all) Clemson can take the field with any team this year.

I think UGA will dominate the LOS on both sides of the ball and gives them the win. That said, should they lose, they will still be in the CFBPO. Bama will not make it in should they lose so that, in their minds, gives them a lot more to play for. That is a definite source of motivation. I also think Houston will beat Cincinnati tomorrow and knock them out of contention.

Lol no. When has a pocket passing QB or a run first team beaten Saban in the past 12 years? UGA plays right into Sabans hands. They are way more one dimensional on offense then people think. Plus now your going to get a sharp Bama offense after they faced all the scrutiny after the RIVALRY game with Auburn. I think Bama wins this game and it might be ugly.

I'm going Bama and Saban here. UGA hasn't been all that against strong competition this season. The SEC East is a trainwreck of a division, so there's just not much to really hang a hat on if things go south. UGA also may think they get in the CFP easy with a loss. If it's a bad one, watch out.

Good lord yes, where do fans come up with this stuff. Did they not watch the games? I was sitting just a few yards away as Tech (that's 3-9 Georgia Tech - 9 wins in 3 years) marched down the field for the game winner before we tackled then on the 3 yard line with time running out. Rinse, repeat, game after game after game until we ran into some imaginary defense that presented no challenge. Tigers just trying to get through the portal fiasco and hope we don't draw A&M for the bowl. Next year.
