I finally see Judge Keller’s point of view.

Brad is a marshmallow. He doesn’t really have much taste on his own. He just sits there on the shelf not causing any trouble. Every now and then you have to check his date to make sure he’s still ok. But he’s in no control over how he’s used. Yes, he finally has a Graham. He’ll always need a little chocolate (facilities etc). And every once in awhile when you’re friends are over you will make a fire (again the marshmallow has no control over this) and remember you have marshmallows and those little marshmallow skewer thingies (the marshmallow also has no control over this). And this is where I think JK comes in. We just need s’more (of Brad).

If you keep them past the "Best by used date" they get crust and yellowey on the outside, but for some unknow reason, you put them back on the shelf hoping they "unstale".

You might get a good moment with a tiny marshmallow in a hot chocolate on a cold night with a shot of liquor in there, but in the end, marshmallows are overrated and actually kind of suck.
