I expect a good, close game with Ohio State.

BV has done very well with a much much much less talented DL than we had last year. They are good, obviously, but nothing like Bryant, Ferrel, Lawrence, Huggins and Wilkins. Muse is a battle hog, but he's relatively easy to get turned around on double moves. OSU has the muscle, the brains and the speed to score on us multiple times. If UVA can put points on the board in the 1st quarter, then OSU obviously can too. We have the best coordinator in college football, so we always have a solid chance, but our defense is not conspicuously better than their offense. BV is such a genius that he will likely anticipate our perceived weaknesses and bait OSU into trying to exploit them. That man is PRICELESS.

On the other side of the ball, If Lawrence has a good game then that's it. But, if he struggles a little bit with accuracy or with not taking sacks then they have the horses to sack him. Their star DE is about as good as our #11. He can make plays on anyone. Our WRs can play with anyone, but I want TL to have time. And even if our Oline has been solid, they have yet to face a DL anywhere near this good.

I want to humble Ohio State all over again as much as the next guy, but 31-0 is not happening again.

I expect a war.

The biggest difference between this years Ohio State and 2016 Ohio is a competent offensive coaching staff combined with a QB who can make all of the throws.

It won't be but feel free to hope.

"with a QB who can make all of the throws. " - NO he cannot make all the throws. Have you watched any of his games? He makes the WIDE-OPEN throws, and the short routes, but NO, he misses too many throws to be effective against this TIGER team.

To each their own. I’ve been obsessed with Ohio State football since 1998. This is the best QB I’ve ever seen at Ohio State.

I've been obsessed with O310 State football since the 1978 Gator Bowl when Woody Hayes slugged Charlie Bowman. What a classy move! Good luck to y'all Bucknuts. You're gonna need it to score on the Tigers in the 2019 Fiesta Bowl.

Ohio St. hasn't played a team in the same universe as Clemson on Offense this season. I think the key to beating Ohio St is gonna be stopping Dobbins. I think we have an answer for Dobbins, but does Ohio St have an answer for ETN, Higgins, Ross, Rodgers? Guess we will find out the 28th at 8pm. SPOT THE #### BALL

He's got a 68 % completion average.

I agree. See it the same way. Hagler vs Hearns type deal. We are Hagler of course.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I agree, this will not be a 31-0 type of game

Dec 11, 2019, 3:18 PM

because our offense is better than it was back then. This one will be closer to 45-0, maybe OSU scores a FG or a TD but I doubt it.

One thing that cannot be overlooked or under played is the coaching staff experience. There is a reason the Sooners have not looked good in the playoffs and Bama has...its is coaching. IMO, Clemson has the advantage over the other 3 teams. "been there done that"...or 'been there won't do that again" I have great respect for Ohio State, they are top shelf, I expect a 4 Qtr game as well...at times, 4 Qtr games come down to coaching.
