Nobody won , and that is the incurable disease that soccer needs treatment for .

I realize that TIP , but they need to change whatever they are doing that allows it to become a tie in the record books .
Fans deserve a win , or a loss .

nothing wrong with a tie

In euro leagues it's 1 point and counts toward the point total. It's not like teams tie championships

Y'all should watch Gaelic Football. It's basically everything you want soccer to be. You can use your hands, a goal is 3 points, what equates to a FG is 1 point, it's more physical...etc.

Soccer is different for a reason. A tie gets us a point which keeps us in the divisional race. We choked on a certain goal from 6 yards out and that cost us the W.

I enjoyed playing soccer and basketball more than the other sports.

Not as much plays, more letting the player just go out there and play.

Right , but scoring and winning are optional ?
Not a soccer hater , but do away with the "points" system and simplify the sport by just having good old fashioned wins or losses .
I don't want to have to math my way to seeing if my team is doing well .

Scoring and winning are optional in all sports. Recommended, but not required.

The point is there should be no ties .
In a 90+ minute game with one ball and 2 goals there should be a decision that does not involve nobody winning .

There are ties in the NFL after 75 minutes...

Soccer is a game that builds to precise moments. You play to secure more of those chances and you either capitalize and score or you don't.

It's a low scoring game, so the system accommodates and rewards ties (albeit only 1/3 of a win). You can come away thinking you were hard done by a tie, but at least you come away with something.

It's just how the game works. It's not going to change and many Americans will still refuse to accept it. Fortunately the youth love it because there is no other sport in the world that unites nations like soccer.
