I don’t know why everyone is excited about 3 stars signing

We’ve made it to the CFP 6 out of the last 7 years, so that should bring us a good top 10 recruiting class. However, we have sunken so low that our class is outside the top 20 and we get excited about 3 star recruits. We’re about to go back to the days of Bowden, West, and Hatfield.

I think "back to the days of Bowden, West, and Hatfield" is a bit dramatic. But yeah I'm convinced their are quite a few fan boys at this point that would be hooting and hollering if we started signing 2 star players. It seems there are a good chunk of people that will find any way possible to excuse reality.

I think it's an obvious troll except he's of the same false belief that's held by his most of Tigernet: "the days of Bowden" are comparable to "the days of Hatfield and West". So he's possibly sincere but mistaken.

This staff knows how to develop talent which you want when you do bring in a few 3 stars.
Wish CBB could develop some mid 3 star players. Only one I can remember KJ McDaniels was developed.

Any experience will show you that "stars" don't mean anything. Give me a three star with a true love of Clemson and maybe even a family tradition over an entitled 5 star that had to look on the map to see where Clemson was. Remember Levon Kirkland? He came in as nothing and is now a legend. Remember Reggie Demps? Exactly, he was the #1 RB that was a complete failure. Believe in Dabo. If you want a Nick Saban that over-recruits and crushes souls along the way then go be a Bama fan. I love me some Tigers, some Dabo and being in the Valley. Please, doubters leave so I can afford season tickets again. Dabo is building young men as well as a football team.

I seem to remember a 2014 recruiting class at Clemson that had 22 commits and the majority were 3 star and 4 star recruits, ranked #16 nationally, #3 in ACC, and a 0.88 composite, that took Bama to the limit in 2015 and took them down in 2016. Per 247, the Tigers had one zero star, two 2 stars, eight 3 stars and eleven 4 star recruits in the 2014 class. 247 and ESPN had DW4 as a 4 star and Rivals had him as 5 star. It's not always how good they are on paper.

Remember the dandy dozen he started this show with? He has always been a great recruiter. He goes after players that can do the job whether media recognizes them or not.

We had 6 three stars in 2020 class and 15 in 2019 so what’s your point? 2021 was an awesome class, certainly better then this year but not what should be expected every year. We finished 2019 with class ranked 10 nationally about where we’ll be this year.
