disrespected. I really thought that beating Bama to win a natty would finally solidify our spot among college football elite in the eyes of the SEC biased national pundits. But last night told me all I needed to know. Clemson is the defending national champs, yet when the playoff rankings come out there are 2 SEC schools ahead of us. Not only that, but there's also a team that wasn't even bowl eligible last year ahead of us. Clemson should be #1 and the only reason we're not is because of an SEC conspiracy. Let's look at the facts:
UGAy - Their best win is against a team that wasn't even bowl eligible last year
Bama - Their best win is against FSU who is just awful this year. Not to mention they've already lost to us in 2017, so do head to head results not even matter?
Notre Dame - Just an awful team who only won a couple games last year. Plus they have already lost to a team whose best win this year is against a team that wasn't even bowl eligible last year.
The ONLY explanation for Clemson not being #1 is a conspiracy and heads need to roll. We should probably start with our representative on the committee, D-Rad

And we lost to a team that could not beat the SEC's 4th or 5th best team. We just need to worry about winning the rest of our games. If you are in the top 4 in December it just does not matter where you are seeded. The number 1 seed the last two seasons did not win the Championship.

you must have missed the part where we're still the defending national champs. Did you see the committee put Alabama at #4 last year in the playoff rankings when they were the defending national champs? And don't tell me seeding doesn't matter, of course it matters. Seeding not only dictates who we play, but where we play. And right now the committee is trying to rob us of that opportunity.

I did not miss it but Bama was undefeated last year at this time so that argument is hard to make for us. I really thought they may have had us at 6 or 7 so I feel like they showed us some respect. Also do you think if Mayfield goes down and they get beat this week that they should not count that game against them or should OU be eliminated.

Then Alabama has the best win on the resume. They beat Florida State and Florida State hasn't list a game since (since we're not counting losses with first string qb out)

and were sure to put the SEC teams in the top half. This means whoever loses the SEC championship between Bama and UGAy will only fall to 3 or 4, while whoever loses the ACC Championship between Clemson and ND will fall out of the playoffs all together. Hth

Just won't happen unless every other conference champ has 2 losses AND those teams have 0 and 1 respectively.
You can talk about SEC and ESPN all you want, but with all the Penn St hype, the CFP committee proved they are able to evaluate each week's situation. Remember, they don't just slide their polls up & down; they revisit the whole thing each week.
