I disagree with Brownell staying in the 1-3-1 match-up zone down 6 with 2 mins left

The zone hadn't been effective all night, and we're just leaving players wide open. Not to say straight man had been effective, but it's a two possession game with 2:07 left. Play solid man-to-man and contest the shot.
Our 1-3-1 match-up zone was so soft in the first place. If you're trying to force a turnover late, we need to trap with our length.
I was fine with that strategy when you're down ten late but not down six. Though, granted we would have had to play Tyson on a guard based on the personnel. Dillon Hunter still hadn't fouled out, but he'd been terrible all game.

Don't disagree, but with who was on the floor for Clemson they couldn't match up man to man. Wiggings, Godfrey, Hall, Tyson, Galloway.

I don’t mind the defensive call bc honestly we looked slow in about every defense we called , just one of those nights and hopefully we learn from it snf move on and get back to playing with the energy we were… only issue I have is they left Bradford in the game so why are did we not just put someone off the bench in to foul him… he couldn’t hit a free throw to save his life and we just let it be a non factor, my only gripe but again just a sloppy night in every aspect unfortunately

I agree I mean but at best last night he was struggling and may hit 1 out of every 4-5… with two min or less actually I would have atleast tried it bc if he hits one your still gaining so the a made basket, I know it’s not a lot but time is more important at that moment and you can extend the game and make them take him out the game. It’s all hindsight though fact is we looked very slow and not energized last night after sat , it happens… ppl are acting like they expected to go undefeated in ACC play haha I think this is a very good team wake just also hit a lot of big shots and some of that is our rotations on defense looked very slow … I think we will be ok just can’t turn this into losing like 4//5 or something

We used to trap with KJ from a 1-3-1 late in games

we stayed in the zone late because of tired legs and their ability to beat us off the dribble.
