I learned. I have a question for you Tiger pups. In the system today, do you have to run up the score to overtake the team ahead of you in the polls, or hope for their loss?

Our recent experience shows me that all that's needed is to beat a lower tier team by less than a touchdown and you can drop 3 places in a hurry. Go figure! Also, live and learn!

Clemson isn't afforded the same "courtesy" as bammer and the $EC schools, we HAVE to win and win convincingly to get any respect. Unfortunately, 10 point victories don't cut it anymore in this "instant gratification" society we have today. I for one don't care if we win by 1 or 100, I just want our Tigers to W I N baby!

Apparently, you need to bash the other team early and then once you're up by an undisclosed unspecified number, it doesn't matter after that point what happens.
That said, if you don't have any quality losses you can't be in the conversation to begin with. Simple math really.

Nothing has changed you want to play your best.
As talented as the Tigers are letting teams like Troy and GT shut you down at any part of a game.
Is not playing your best , we are expected to blow teams out.
So far this season we have not played very well.
Even Louisville ,we should have beat them by 30
The team has all the pieces but can't put them together.
To be 5-0 as bad as we have played in just about every game.
Will tell you how good we really are

For a team like Clemson, win all your games and you're in. Don't and you're at the mercy of fate.
It's much more relaxing than the old system, where being behind Ohio State and Alabama would have us examining their schedule and praying for an upset.
