Maybe that's how we do manage our scholarships and Dabo wants those motivational storiesl. They earn it as well. Its a win win.

Oh best believe that ain’t going to happen. Honestly I actually think if you peel back the curtains with Judge you’ll see he’s still sore over the hate Brownell receives so he’s trying to find every reason to criticize the football team payback I guess.
Thing is with our football team we just went 10-3 on a “down year”. That’s like making the second round of playoffs in basketball. The criticism Brownell receives is absolutely well deserved.

I don't see it as hate at all for Brad on here, or in the community - more frustration with his failure over 12 years of unparalleled investments in salary, facilities, and security to perform better than any of his predecessors save for the one washout tenure under Shyatt, meanwhile witnessing our attendance and fan enthusiasm wither consistently away. When your most common finish is 1 game over .500, including the latest season and two of the last three, the criticism is utterly justified.

Facility investment? You mean replacing the gym because the old one was condemned? Where is the bowling ally, slide, paw bistro or nap rooms? For a basketball fan like you, a bare bones facility means unparalleled investment. This is exactly why we cant have a good basketball program...

Name a single coach since the 1980's that has gotten more facility improvements in basketball than the Brad. Expanded practice facilities? Locker room improvements? Offices? Go ahead, champ. Which one got more from the AD than Brown L? Salary and security I notice are untouchable from excuse land.
Dabo proved early enough he and his program were worth those extra investments. He went out and earned it. Brad? LOL.

Bare bones? It may not be the nicest in the country, but lets not get carried away.
-Newly configured seating bowl, with court rotating 90 degrees from its prior layout -Swann Pavilion, a newly designed operations complex and practice facility connected to the arena -Burton Gallery, a new 10,000 square foot main entrance space -Expanded portals, allowing for a more accessible in-game atmosphere from the concourse level -Nation’s largest centerhung curved videoboard, as well as ribbon boards atop each portal in the seating bowl -Coliseum club & courtside club premium seating areas -Coaches offices overlooking the practice gym -Expansive space for staff conferences -Locker room for players, coaches and staff -Team film and meeting room -Players lounge -Recruiting lounge -Weight room connecting the players lounge to the practice gym -Athletic training room https://clemsontigers.com/sports/mens-basketball/facilities/littlejohn-coliseum/
"The renovation of Clemson University's historic Littlejohn Coliseum included a number of significant upgrades that fans and visitors will notice immediately, such as a redeveloped arena court, seating bowl, and concourses, and increased premium-level seating.
The project also included a number of improvements to back-of-house and practice spaces, such as build-out of an National Collegiate Athletic Association regulation practice facility, a basketball operations center, coaches offices, weight rooms, locker rooms, recruitment gathering spaces, and video editing and theater areas." https://www.turnerconstruction.com/experience/project/71AC/clemson-university-littlejohn-coliseum-renovation
The new Swann Pavilion, which houses all aspects of the men’s and women’s basketball programs in one central location for the first time, will elevate the student-athlete experience. The pavilion includes a 13,000-square-foot practice gym and shooting courts; 5,000-square-foot team suites for each program that comprise the locker rooms, film room, lounge and coaches’ lockers; and a 6,000-square-foot weight room and sports medicine area shared by both teams. https://greenvillejournal.com/community/renovations-clemsons-littlejohn-coliseum-complete/

Keep on screaming old man as your use of capital letters has changed my mind. I have finally come around to your way of thinking. Instead of investing in our program we should simply cycle through coaches like Nancy St and others. Instead of being mid pack we will frequently be at the bottom with a ton of buy out debt but at least we wont have Brad as our coach.

LOL. I was channeling your inner broken record above. Nap rooms and bowling alleys are why Brad gets outcoached by just about every league peer in close games? Too funny. Staying saddled to an overpaid, underperforming coach for 12 years is hardly cycling through coaches. It's treading water, despite all the advantages Brad has had over his many more successful predecessors.
"Instead of being mid pack we will frequently be at the bottom". Spoken like a true Brown L'er. Classic.

No need to explain anything to me as your caps locked tirade convinced me. Lets fire Brad today and and hire the best coach we can find for the same salary we pay Brad. I am sure the big name coaches you seek will be lined up around LJ for the opening.
BTW Brad has outperformed our history and is close percentage wise to our best previous coaches. Also won at UNC and has a sweet 16 appearance. So you characterization of underperforming is more of a feeling than a fact.

Why do you lie about Littlejohn being condemned like you do? That's weird. Brad having a worse record than Ellis, Barnes, and OP isn't a lie. Brad's most common finish of 1 game over .500, including two of his last three season (years 10-12, and his official 'mode' measure) isn't a lie. Brad never having a team compete in even an ACC semi-final game isn't a lie. Why the need to lie about LJ?

jstone, if you're going to constantly criticize people for how they feel can your cheap ### come off the hip with a donation? I don't have a problem at all with those that don't donate as they help with clicks. You on the other hand post numerous times daily criticizing other posters. Put your money where your mouth(keyboard) is or you can continue sniffing Judge's underwear.

I actually have noticed Jstone being a lot more comment and topic focused, and more positive, over the last few months. Used to be as you said, but seems like he’s been making an effort from what I’ve noticed.

I think it’s a lame justification you’ve come up with to explain something that deeply hurts you, which is someone who loves Clemson but doesn’t put football on a lofty pedestal.
As I’ve said many times, I love our football program and am very proud of it. Our success has been amazing! Therefore, I expect a lot and hold it accountable relative to the advantages it has.
That means I am going to be as objective as possible, even when that means sharing unpopular opinions.
None of this has anything to do with basketball.

better fans and facilities. Once we fix those things, then Brad will be better able to manage the roster, which obviously means he'll finally win more. Just a few more years, and we'll get there. We all need more patience for Brad.

Feel good stories like Domonique Thomas make it understandable why we continue to recruit so well even when NIL money abounds in other schools. The fact that our record over the last 10 years is so good speaks for itself when it comes to scholarship numbers. Listen.
