I can't think of a fanbase dislike more than Auburn's.

They are always so butt hurt when they lose games. They are on AU Family saying in one thread about 10 positives that:
1. They are glad they don't have copied or forced traditions. Yet, to my knowledge nobody else has an entrance as grand as ours. They continuously trash the bus arrival and hill run, yet any entity that has no bias has consistently rated it the #1 entrance in college football. What other entrance has ABC given as much prime time to and as detailed coverage to. And how is that forced? It is the very opposite of contrived. It developed over years.
2. Talk about copied traditions. TP rolling trees. They copied every middle schooler who got permission from mom to "camp out" with a few kids on the block in the mid 70's.
3. Another copied tradition: There is a poorly done tiger paw right in the middle of the town square. Wonder where they got that from. At least they respected the trademark and did one that is too ugly to resemble the famous Clemson paw.
4. They are also convinced that "Clemson ignored concussion protocol" and put Bryant back in the game. And I wonder how they would now that? First, it has been reported that the wind was knocked out of him and that is exactly what the injury looked like. He didn't even get hit in the head or hit his head on the ground. Also, the integrity of our team doctors should not be in question. They held out our starting safety.
That Auburn loudmouth that was on the board last week is typical. I am really enjoying this week, as Atlanta has a good bit of Auburn fans. They ran their mouths all summer about this QB and how he was going to make it where they would go in and beat Clemson.
As difficult as it is to believe, they are the SEC best answer to Bama. Yes, they've lost 4 in a row to them also and yes they can't seem to give Bama a close game any longer, but they were the league's Sugar Bowl rep last year. They got embarrassed by Oklahoma there and if not for a late drive in the fourth last year would have had only two field goals against us both years.
Someone on Shakin the Southland did a great story on them. If I find it, I'll post it on this site.
Auburn is 5-9 in its last 14 games against the ACC, yet they are some of the biggest windbags when it comes to conference superiority talk. Yes, they are 35.7% against the ACC since 1998 AND 2 of those wins were in overtime, or they would be 3-11.

IF the saying is Clemson is Auburn with a lake, it should be changed to Clemson is Auburn with a lake, and two full national championships instead of 1 and a split. We are also Auburn with a higher academic ranking.
Our entrance is the best in college football and has been named such by a wide consensus. They run out through a poster and band. Their eagle fly is done by any team with an eagle mascot, or any military gathering. In fact, it was done at the national championship game with Bama.

Georgia is in the heat of battle, while Auburn is the same petty little untrue comments over and over again. And there's a reason Auburn is #3 all-time in number of times sanctioned by the NCAA.

You're entitled to your opinion. Every fan-base has annoying fans (including ours).
BUT ... consider this ... my youngest brother was a Plainsman at Auburn, so his perspective is interesting. He says there is a big difference in Bowden-era Clemson fans and Dabo-era (or what he calls "new money") Clemson fans.
He says Clemson fans are starting to lose their humbleness due to recent success.
My point: let's not be the school that other fan bases talk about like you're talking about Auburn.

grads and fans, and they are among the nicest people I know. Some of my favorites among opponent's fan bases. The worst I've ever encountered: USuCk, UGA, Maryland, and Ohio State all have some of the most vile, arrogant, obnoxious steaming piles of waste you can imagine existing in something close to human form. There's good and bad in all mind you, but some are just decidedly worse than others overall in my experience.

I worked with AU and Bama fans for 10 years in Birmingham AL, and they all seem fine to me. The AU fans even thanked me (well - really they thanked CLEMSON) for beating Bama last year. They are hoping to make the NC playoff and meet us again, while Bama watches THEM play us this year. So they want us to be there again. It might be harder to beat them again IMO. They were pretty tough last week.
Naw - I'll stick with those ignorant coot fans that think they're going to win the NC this year. I'll despise them the most until somebody really stupid comes along.

You need to get out more often. Ever been to Maryland, Athens or Cootlumbia? Auburn fans are good people...they have their a$$holes just like we do. Don't pay attention to the a$$holes!

Auburn people are a walk in the park. Talked to many before and after game on Saturday. That alone speaks volumes because I wouldn't want to do that with anyone from the above mentioned schools

I have been to many away games and bowl games. And I feel that Auburn is much better fan base than many other schools. I had many people welcome me on their campus. At last Saturday's game the Auburn fans around me were great.

as it is that they are from the state of Alabama. Its my home state, and let me tell you, people from that place have a loud attitude. You heard it from Auburn fans this year, you heard it from Alabama fans the past 2 years.
At the Troy game last year, a Troy fan walked by us and my mother smiled and kindly said "Thanks for coming to Clemson, it was a good game!" to which the Troy fan frustratingly replied "Yeah, for yall!!"
Its that loud, competitive "Alabama attitude" you are hearing.
Here's my personal story from this past Auburn game:
We had a group of older Auburn fans behind us, and boy were they mouthy about their team, but, they were fun to hang out with and they were very respectful. Of course, being Alabamians, they think that place (and Auburn) is God's gift to earth. But one of the gentleman named Bruce looked at me and said "I'm a die hard Auburn fan, lived in Bama my whole life and will never cheer for another team. But my daughter graduated from Clemson. I would've never let her go to an out of state school, but I looked at Clemson and went all in with her decision because I said I would only let her go to an honorable school with strong, time honored traditions, and Clemson is exactly that."
Auburn fans may be bitter about the loss, but deep down they all love Clemson.
