Most every source, including the cops, are saying he had just got out of jail very recently, like days before. He had just committed another violent crime. He was fleeing and then smashed into people and kept trying to flee. You think the cops are in on the conspiracy with the media? He could have killed a lot more if that were his main goal.

Because he turned down the street and was racing away? Some spots were blocked off. He made a huge scene and knew he was going back for a very long time. Those are reasons for his crazy actions. He wasn't slowing down much, but he did hit his breaks and avoid a few people at one part. He could have ran over 75. The guy was crazy of course, but I will take the cops word for now. All that said, we might find out differently, but people are just going by what the cops say. They said, it wasn't a coordinated attack and that he had just committed another crime and was fleeing. Maybe shockingly he didn't realize there was a parade that evening. Maybe he wasn't the organized Christmas parade type type. Probably wasn't on his schedule that evening. Until they give us something knew, why jump to other conclusions that it's a conspiracy to protect him or his motives?

The guy was never getting a slap on the wrist. He had just stabbed someone and just committed another violent crime. He could have been facing 3 strikes? Then he hits someone keeps fleeing. It gets uglier. The situation could have been a lot heavier than you think it was. He was also a career criminal. Maybe doing the right thing wasn't what he does.

I commented below while you were posting that. You don't know his rap sheet though and how his knew charges would be making a difference that he was out on bail on? He could be facing 10 years. People do crazy things to avoid a few years in jail. You don't know what he was facing. A lot of people wouldn't stop that are a certain type and would try to flee. You're not dealing with a banker here. Once he hit someone he might have really felt the need to flee even harder. There are way too many variables when dealing with certain types of people.
