RB weights.

Mafah at 222(added weight) is beast mode. Shipley at 202(no change). Pace at 211(got leaner). LynJ at 197(probably the biggest he can get). Someone is going to separate big time in the next few weeks.
Mafah at 6’1 222. Man if he can carry that and stay explosive….wow.

This is a really good RB room. It is very versatile.

Trophy post. We should be praying hard that the offensive line can get some push.

but I had one before that saying he would be out starter by mid season, and I am too dang lazy to go find it. The dude runs like his hair is on fire and has a nasty stiff arm. I do not see pace holding him off.

Based on what?
Last I checked Pace had a strong spring game and Mafah had some nice runs too but I didn't see anything that looked like Mafah was head and shoulders better than Pace.
Like, you could tell TL16 was coming for KB2 based on the film. Even the spring game you saw a difference between the two offensive philosophies.
Reviewing the spring game between Mafah and Pace, I see a great football player in the making with Mafah but Pace is a dog too no doubt. This ain't the RB equivalent of KB2 vs TL16 competing.
Not to say it couldn't happen before the season is over but people anointing Mafah and Shipley before the first game is kind of crazy IMO.
FWIW, I'd love a 3 or 4 headed monster (assuming LJD pops off) but I'm not banging that drum until we get some live action in September to see what happens upfront with our OLINE

I am not looking much at his spring game footage, other than he seemed to put in a lot more effort than the other backs. The kid could have started for a lot of programs as a Junior in HS.

Hate to put it like this, but he has that Todd Gurley thing where he can go over you if you don't get out of the way.

Seems like RBs either have that "it" factor of they don't

We've had alot of potential guys here at Clemson that fit the bill physically and have crazy potential...but its like, if they dont' have that "vision" factor or instinct to time it all up properly then all you have are questions. Not gonna name anyone bc thats not the Clemson way but it has somewhat suprised me the ones that never seem to be able to be consistent and the ones that just figured it out and had that ability to take the job. I will a couple of those guys (Travis Etiene, Wayne Gallman, Andre Ellington..) i'll stop.. But never would I have thought those (3) would have been as consistently good as those guys.
