I'd be fine with that. Would totally turn politics as we know it on its head, too. At least half the Dem platform is divisive identity politics...how are they supposed to call Tim Scott a "racist" again?

Yep. Pretty hard to hang the white nationalist label on Scott, but can bet the farm the Uncle Tom tag would be used early and often.
Doubt we’ll hear Joe using the “put y’all in chains” line either.

Big money donors will have moved on and he's fleeced small donors enough that I doubt there are enough to float his campaign. And I highly doubt his ability to self-fund.
And I'm thinking the very real possibility of losing in the primary after losing 2020 is too much for his ego to risk.
He just wants to be begged not to run.

and getting the nod, barring legal action to stop him. Hard for me to imagine any serious candidates challenging him and enduring the bitter, devisive attacks that will ensue, all for nothing. Our country is deeply, bitterly, violently divided as it is; get ready for it to get worse if Trump runs or is elected. Talking heads in the media will explode and they will be in constant attack mode, keeping the masses whipped into a frenzy. Get ready for rioting, burning, looting, and violence like we've never seen before.
The way I see it, Trump has been waiting for and gearing up for this opportunity the whole time. He still has TREMENDOUS support. Does anybody really believe he's not bitter and living for the chance to be President again? Does anybody really believe he'd consider stepping aside in favor of another candidate? Does anybody really believe he'd be happy sitting on the sidelines? If so, what have you seen to indicate any of that?
