No,why should FSU and Miami consider USF or UCF as a peer - it would only hurt them.

Cincy is UofL without the fanbase.

ND ok but meh already almost a part of them.

Baylor and TCU - why? Might as well bring in more of the B12 and let them play in their western sandbox.

I hope one of those is to replace Clemson

Maybe TCU or Baylor bring something to the table, but the cog in the wheel is Notre Dame.
In fact some one told me today they would probably join the Big10 before the ACC.

Re: 6 New ACC teams

Jul 26, 2021, 3:14 PM

That would be my expectation, for ND to join B1G.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

And ND SHOULD join the B10 ...

Jul 27, 2021, 10:09 AM

I don't see why not ... it seems like a natural fit

Re: And ND SHOULD join the B10 ...

Jul 27, 2021, 8:09 PM

i guess a lot of you just can not read. notre dame has a contract with the acc that they must join if they decide to take the plunge. and the acc is not going to fall apart so you tin hatters can believe whatever you wish.

I do not hate, I am "woke" ...

Jul 28, 2021, 2:08 PM

Its just that I feel displeasure with Notre Dame.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

talk about watering down your conference...

Jul 26, 2021, 3:00 PM

can't wait to see USF in the valley... WE have enough wake forest's in our conference

Re: 6 New ACC teams

Jul 26, 2021, 3:04 PM

It’s not about just adding teams. It’s about adding teams that will move the TV ratings needle. Honestly don’t see any of those out side of ND and Penn State.

Re: my 6 in order

Jul 26, 2021, 3:07 PM

Nd
UF (might come, sec would lose state of florida)
PSU
WVA
CINCY
NAVY

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

UCF, USF, and Cincinnati are an absolute NO for me

Jul 26, 2021, 3:15 PM

It's not about getting bigger. It's about getting better.

If we’re going with 6:
WVU
ND
PSU
Kansas
Texas Tech
Ok State

I assume you're just throwing a bone to the hoops supporters

Jul 26, 2021, 5:00 PM

with the inclusion of Kansas.

Yea as a football first fan, and a likely unrealistic scenario I’d prefer to cut Wake, Syracuse, and BC. Add ND, PSU, and WVU.

I would assume to just leave the acc

Re: 6 New ACC teams

Jul 26, 2021, 6:05 PM

My fallback teams assuming no ND, TAM, PSU, etc, with no other than B12 to take, would be OkSt, TexTech, TCU, Iowa St and Baylor.

That’s a sad list. If that’s the ACC plan CU better hope to got SEC comes calling.

. Acc will get left behind with any of those teams

Nein ! Nein ! Nein ! Nein ! Nein !

Jul 26, 2021, 6:45 PM

This what you want ...

WVU
Navy

ND spins off in the ether ...

And this is the most likely

Contrary to urban myth, Navy has a YUGE following ...and you get the DC/Baltimore market ... a surrogate Maryland

WVU has always been worthy and has a YUGE following ... great Sports

I think too many people remember that 2012 orange bowl they will be a good addition but I don’t know if it fixes any problems that we don’t already have

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That was an "off" day ...

Jul 27, 2021, 10:07 AM

some might use the word "fiasco"

But still, they learned from the experience ... people scared of a little competition ?

Re: 6 New ACC teams

Jul 27, 2021, 11:29 AM

No. Lets hope we've already been back channeling to get out of this conference. It's behind as it is, and will only get worse. Adding crap from the AAU and Big 12 doesn't improve the conference.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: 6 New ACC teams

Jul 27, 2021, 11:47 AM

Two major things the ACC can do in response to the SEC expansion.

1. Strongly resist any expansion of the CFP. Convince other conferences to vote with us in opposing any expansion. That would put the SEC in a box by making it MUCH HARDER for any school to make the playoffs not named Alabama. Do not expand to 12 as that will only further enrich the SEC since they would place 5-6 teams in the playoffs.

2. Form an alliance with another conference. The ACC should join forces with the BIG or PAC 12 and agree to a 5 year deal, where member schools would agree to play each other in two games each season. This would present the networks/cable providers/conference networks with great cross regional games, creating product for the platforms for both conferences. Fans would enjoy great away games as well.

What the ACC does not need to do is panic and add two additional bodies (WVA, Cinn, etc.) just to get to 16 teams. Any team the ACC would bring in would have to bring in $50M in additional revenue just to increase each school's take by 1M. I don't see any team, outside ND, having that type of value.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Hey ! How 'bout WVU and ....... Appalachian State !

Jul 27, 2021, 12:14 PM

WVU is obvious but Appl State ... that school is pretty cool. Good Football, Boone is a neat town, right down the road from Blowing Rock ... no people ? I beg to differ ... I was there last Summer and Fall and LOTS of limousine liberals ... its now quite the "in thing" now you know

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Wow, your list missed the academic buss.

Jul 27, 2021, 12:46 PM

ND is the only one that would fit. And I am tired of asking them. Time to move on. We don’t need to beg.

2024 white level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm good with Notre Dame, Baylor, and TCU.

Jul 28, 2021, 2:22 PM

I'd be okay with Cincinnati if poaching the Big 10 or SEC isn't an option.

I don't see how UCF or USF really help the conference. No to those.

Y would we want UCF, cinci and USF? They don't make the league better.
