UNC's Back-up QB Crisswell is being pegged for Wisconsin.

He was a 2 year player with Heels and Mack Brown almost chose him to start vs Maye.
Crissway is from Arkansas & was high school player of year there.
Seems he's both a good runner & passer and Badger fans are excited about possibility of getting him.

As they should be. Still not sure what happened to Merck (sp). He was supposed to be the real deal. Had a couple good games as freshman and looked outstanding. Then he and DJ5 paths took similar routes.

The term pegged should never, ever, be allowed on a football forum.

Please be very very careful when googling the term to understand its hidden meaning.

Criswell is from a very small town and small school

In Arkansas. Happens to be where I live and my kids go to school. He is a great kid. He was not recruited by Chad Morris which is primary reason he didn’t go to Arkansas. The coach now came in and tried to recruit him but it was late in the game. I do think it’s telling that UNC lost one and two it seems? Criswell is visiting Arkansas this weekend. I wouldn’t count them out his half brother Tre Greenlaw I think it is played for Arkansas and is now pro. Plus it’s close to his family. It is a blind side type of story as one of the football coaches here actually adopted him and raised him as he had poor family life. Again he is a great kid. I watched him come in the game for the first time as a 10th grader and it was obvious he was a threat to take it to the house everytime. Mind you small school small competition. I do not think he would succeed at a Clemson Georgia Alabama. But maybe he would at an Arkansas or Wisconsin. He is teachable, smart, and very humble. One of the former Arkansas qbs that played in the nfl worked with him between jr year and sr year and said he had tremendous upside. But I’m not sure if he ever developed or will develop this late in the game. Hope for the best for him.

Wisconsin will re-emerge as the perennial B1G West champ

Luke Fickell will do very well there. Wisconsin's player development is second to none. Fickell should significantly raise their recruiting profile, which had fallen off big time under Paul Chryst the last couple of years. Paul Chryst is a really good guy, but when recruiting falls off a cliff so drastically you gotta make a change.
I know most folks here don't give a care about Wisconsin, but if Fickell can snag better QBs and improve their speed in the secondary, I think Wisconsin can regularly challenge and sometimes beat Michigan and Ohio State for the B1G championship.
