Hunter Renfrow better in the pros than college

Feb 6, 2022, 7:44 PM

Dude was a legend at Clemson because of a catch and a tendency to convert on 3rd downs. But, honestly, he is even better as a pro. His last year he was really overshadowed by Tee, Ross, and company. But the guy is a stud in the pros.

I wouldn’t have agreed with that but after looking it up, HR has more receptions, yds, and tds in 3 years as a pro than he had in 4 years as a Tiger. One of my all time favorite Tigers!

Go Tigers

You guys need to remember the other receivers he was playing with here too. This year, due to injuries with other receivers on his team, the Raiders did target him a lot more also. Not trying to take anything away from Hunter. I have always thought he was a beast here and now in the NFL.

He’s been great, at Clemson and the Pros. When we were WRU, he played behind a great group of WR’s. However, in crunch time when we needed a first down, he caught most every thing thrown to him.

“The catch” from DW in the last few seconds to beat Bama was one of the most exciting plays/finishes ever. The other two plays, at least to me, that impressed me the most wasn’t even a catch; the effort shown to chase down and tackle a Bama defender running in for TD which led to only a FG and kept us in the Natty game, then the play as a punt returner where he hit the WR and broke up a pass from the punter on 4th down (fake punt).

He always gave and gives 110% in college and the Pros and has the heart most do not. So proud of him and one of my all time favorite players, college or Pro.

If a Clemson fan - he has to make us all proud.

Don’t forget the catch against Syracuse from Brice, to convert a crucial 3rd down after Trevor got knocked out of the game.

All of those examples are ingrained in my mind's eye!

There’s are reasons this is true.

Feb 7, 2022, 7:49 AM

1.Better blocking in the NFL
2. Smarter coaches with more complex running routes.
3. Seasoned QBs who can thread the needle just as well as TL or DW.
4. More throws to the receivers in the NFL

That dude is a stud. It took the level of play from NFL dudes around him to show just how good he can be.

Just hope he gets paid good before he get too beat up. He is still very small for the NFL to stand the test of time, but he continues to prove all of us wrong, which I hope is the case, because he sure is fun to watch.
