Was wondering if anyone used one of the streaming services during football season and how was it? I have Directv now but I’m tired of paying so much.

I discontinued direct tv and went to Hulu. Got everything I need. Love it. Saving 75 a month.

and I've also used Sling and DirectTv NOW
of all of them...Youtube TV is my favorite. It has all the ESPN's, FS1, and local channels. It comes with DVR so you can record games or shows. It also (to me) has the best user interface. The guide works similar to a guide on directv, dish, or cable. It has a clear HD picture, and I've never experienced any buffering. Also a plus for me is that while all those options for streaming (hulu, slingtv, directTV) have a delay behind real time, YouTube TV is the closest to real time than the others.

Switched to YouTube and would never go back.
Just make sure your internet is 100mbps plus esp if anyone else in the house is using the internet same time

We use Hulu TV and it works well. I made the switch to sling about a year ago and was not a fan, but Hulu is a lot better. We use a Roku Box on our main TV that is hard wired into our internet with an ethernet cable as opposed to using Wifi and have had zero buffering issues that way. We have a Roku stick upstairs that uses wifi and works well 95% of the time, but I would recommend having at least one hard wired TV to ensure having no problems at inopportune times...

I have Directv Now. I dropped Directv last January. Directv Now worked great this past football season.
I thought about trying Youtube TV but it lacked some of the non-sports channels that the wife and I watch on occasion.
I have had friends highly recommend Youtube TV.
Both are much better than paying tons of money for Directv!
I use an Apple TV and an Amazon Fire TV as my streaming devices.
I like both of them and would recommend either.
I like the Apple TV better but the price difference is huge.

I've tried them all and Youtube tv is by far the best. Local channels all the sports channels unlimited DVR and 6 accounts. Never missed a Clemson game

Tried a bunch of the services throughout last year. Went

through Sling, Hulu, DirectvNow, and stuck through football season with PSVue. I like it better than the other three, but it still misses a couple of channels that we like here at the house. Zero problems during football season. I don't like the cloud dvr with PSVue relative to football. All the football games have the same name in the recording, so when you record college football you record ALL of college football. Have to search to find the Clemson game.
Planning to give YoutubeTV a try here soon. I understand from folks here on Tnet that a YoutubeTv/Philo combination gives a great list of channels for a cost in the $50 range that matches the channels from the others.
They all offer 7-day free trials, so give them all a try. They all have different GUIs and some are really a pain and not easy to scroll through.
Good luck!

YouTube TV hands down my favorite. I had issues with buffering, drops, and app crashes with all of the others. Not one issue this past season using YouTube TV.
