Hugely disappointed in DRad's decision to retain Brownell...

I've defended DRad in the past, but no longer.

This was a HUGE mistake and it sets our program back at least 2 years, maybe more.

Never thought I'd say this, but we've become the football Gamecocks of basketball---we play in the big bad ACC and can't win squat, yada yada. What a joke.

At least we don't reference the other teams, as they do, claiming to be something just because a couple of others in our conference are good.

Agreed, I don't ever recall us living vicariously through Duke....but this whole embracing mediocrity thing is downright disgraceful....never thought I'd live to see the day when our AD would openly slap alumnus in the face and retain a coach who feels "comfortable" getting his lunch eaten.

There has to be some pretty good reason DRad has not pulled the trigger. I don't know what it is, but I would say there doesn't seem to me to be a really good reason not to make the change, especially now that the recruits have to know he is on the hot seat. That can't be a help, IMO, unless there are players who just are waiting and hoping we get a "better coach". Maybe that's the reason (and maybe there really is a Santa Claus).

This is exactly the situation that got DRad fired at GA Tech in their basketball program by signing their under-performing prior coach on to a longer contract for an over-paid salary and leaving their program stagnated at the time....
