I would like to take my 4 year old to a game this year. Just curious as to how old were your kids when you first took them.

At 4 my son was starting to really love the games!
Now at 8 he wants to go to every game.

really count. The next time I took him, he had just turned 7 and was actually interested for most of the game.(2006 vs Miami)
My youngest is now 10 and he still isn't ready to go sit through a whole game.

Six month old for basketball and one year old for football but here's the irony. He went to more Clemson football and basketball games before he went to school then he did while a student(0). He is a graduate of Clemson.

Been to most games since and all since he was 8. My wife or mom kept him cool when little with frozen lemonade and frequent trips to misting fans and shade.

I just want him to fall in love with football and not be bored with it. I may just take my 7 year old step son. However, his dad wants to take him to his first game at LSU. So I’m stuck there, but my son is 4 and celebrates with me when we watch football at the house.

Don't underestimate what it'll mean to him. He might not understand football yet, but he'd enjoy the cheers and the run down the hill cheering.
My son is 11 now, still remembers going to the games at 4 and having his picture taken with the Tiger back then.

I was 2 weeks old at my first one. Everyone around me was shocked I didn’t cry. At least that’s what was told to me.

I dragged her up the hill to rub Howard’s Rock for good luck after each game. Since we strategically did not give birth during FB season they were technically about -0.75 and -.050 with each respective child when they attended their first Clemson game. For those of you wondering, she gave 110%.

Two years old at this game... http://www.espn.com/college-football/game?gameId=400547743
I almost got into a fight with a bunch of UNC frat boys mouthing off during one of the in game ceremonies honoring a past Clemson achievement.

My daughter was five years old, and loved it...until we started losing. To Maryland. November 2006. She was crying. I was crying. But ohh, how she appreciates and loves Clemson football now! My son was six and enjoyed every minute of it. Military Day vs the Citadel and Tajh Boyd’s last home game.

We took our little girl a bunch when she was a baby. Just bring the earmuffs they get scared easily when really young.
And a few pics just because she is probably the cutest little girl ever. I know I’m partial.

6 months old (just dropped her off at Clemson today for her freshman year) and 15 months old. Both daughters. A lot of work when they’re young but we have really enjoyed taking them all these years.

Tough question - must be too old to remenmber

but not until I felt they were old enough to enjoy the whole experience. No carrying infants swaddled in blankets and slathered in sunscreen for me. Can't see facing the burden of carrying diaper bags and multiple changes either.

I believe mine were around first grade when they went. They both loved football then and still do. It all depends on your child and how long he/she can handle it. Keep in mind that many around you have opted not to bring their children so they can enjoy the game without hot and tired children crying around them. If your child is able to sit through a game without bothering others, go for it!
