How much do you think pj hall's foot effected the season performance?

I'm not going to say that we would have been a great team if he was healthy, but I certainly think it would have helped.
I remember watching the st. Bonnie game and saw pj ball on the bench and thought that he was the most winded player I have ever seen in college basketball. I was wondering why he wasn't in basketball shape. I can't believe he basically didn't practice all year. That is wild and I'm not sure I've even heard of that.
Let's hope PJ goes into next year 100%

It had a big effect but when this team was fully healthy still suffered terrible loses to non NCAAT teams St Bonnies, West Virginia and BC. the big problem is with the guards as their consistency needs to be addressed in the off season. Also need a bouncy wing in the transfer portal that can slash and score in the transfer portal. won't be able to get that if Tyson comes back, or no one transfers.

I don't think pj ball was 100% healthy all year. I'm pretty sure he did not practice all year. Am I wrong on that?

Wasn’t our winning percentage without him greater than with him? No slam on PJ. I’m hoping we have him next year.

It had everything to do with it, or nothing to do with it, depending on your point of view. It's better, IMO, to blame one player for the poor performance than the whole team. And since it's pretty much been determinded that Brad is coming back, we certainly can't put the blame on him. Of course, please be reminded that even without P.J. 4 guys can't successfully defend 5 guys so at some point we need to point the finger at the other guy who was hurt, Hunter Tyson. But even at full strength ,how can you expect 3 star basketball talent to beat 4 ,and 5 star basket ball talent. So my sincere wish for next season is that Brad recruit at least 7 P.J. Halls so if we lose our two best players we can still field a competitive team.

Are you serious? He was not 100% healthy all year. It definitely affected the team, but I'm wondering how much? I still don't think we would have been a tourney team, but I do think we would have won a couple closer games, including st. Bonny.
He didn't practice all year. Apparently his practices consisted of him on a stationary bike the entire time. When he wasn't on the court, he was in a walking boot. He was not in basketball shape the majority of the year. It was very evident in the st. Bonnie game.

So all this speculating just to say we may have beaten St Bonaventure and still not made the tournament?
What’s the point?

Not a huge difference TBH. He’s a good, not great player. Not an NBA caliber player. Love his effort but I think what we saw from him is about as good as he is, it’s not like he would become Zion if healthy.

You remind me of the recruiting guru (Enfinger ?) who said Dale Davis would never be an impact player in the ACC.

This is just my opinion from watching him, take it for what it's worth.
It didn't seem to effect him much on the court except for a couple of times when he obvious aggravated it. It seems the adrenaline probably masked some of the pain during games. He wasn't able to practice regularly as a result. That may have effected his ability to stay in ideal game shape which is why he spent so much time doing no-contact conditioning to mitigate it. I think missing those practices didn't allow him to get in sync with the guards defensively or offensively.
This is all speculation.

Only when he sat out a few games. He's dealt with it since he started taking ball serious. Bothered him in high school. So don't try to use that as a convenient excuse.
Remember when Brad said this after we blew a huge 15 point lead against a lowly west va team.
"We don't have as many big-bodied drivers as some teams and that probably hurts us occasionally... "
Which goes along with his quote "our guards aren't big enough..."
Since day 1 he's always blamed circumstances and whined about everything. I have no use for a coach who does that.
