yet BrownL is just too good to fire?
Hopefully Graham Neff makes more sense than DRad. I think he will.

Good question. Sometimes you are better off than you think you are and baseball is a good example. Leggett was considerably better than his replacement. imo

that the trigger should not be pulled.
But I believe Leggett meant FAR more to the baseball program than Brad has ever meant to the basketball program. Like, it’s not even close. So why keep hanging onto Brad as if he’s going to do something some day?

Jack lived for years off Willhelms success till it went downhill. Lee has lived off Jacks ho hum-ness and now that is going downhill. There are plateaus. This is the lowest plateau we have been on in baseball.

Not sure who you have been watching or if you go to the games, but I have been to over 500 Clemson baseball games and Omaha 4 times with the Tigers and nothing went down under Jack. The recruiting class we lost when they fired Jack was arguably the best since Benson and Koch near Jack's start. He loved our scool and program and was a winner. The only knock on Jack is that USC won twice and beat us out there, but as any fan can see, it is hard to get to Omaha, something Jack achieved about every 4-5 years. Our program is a shell of where it was, although I still support them and travel to see them play. the fire is not there with ML and pitching is not close to where Jack's teams were.

That’s the TNET hot take for people who never followed baseball and were just upset that USC got better than us.

When you realize DRad continually rewarded coaches who regressed those respective programs it makes a little more sense.

Leggett was a &@@hole, however that alone doesn’t make him a good or bad coach. The program obviously declined in his last 4 years. Numerous losses to so.con and big south teams were occurring at the end. Having said that, it was light years ahead of the joke we have now. Why there wasn’t a mine made after last year proves the ineptness of DRad in coaching hires and fires.
Remember, Ga.tech’s sports programs haven’t always been bad. However, by the time DRad was finished with the athletic department, they were in serious debt and losing ground in all 3 major sports and have never recovered
