How can it be

Dec 22, 2021, 7:06 AM

Latest poll results:

In findings along party lines: Ninety-five percent of Republicans say they disapprove of Biden’s job performance, and while the president enjoys support from 87% of voters in his own party, his disapproval rate among Democrats has climbed by six points since he took office, PBS reported.

87% of Democrats support Biden's performance as POTUS. 87%!

How can that be?

So 95% + 13% disapprovals = 108%

Right ;)?

Re: How can it be

Dec 22, 2021, 8:25 AM

The reason: A lot of Democrats and Republicans now live in bubbles, seeing very little of contrary viewpoints, and as a result not only have radically different perspectives on everything going on, but can't understand why anyone thinks differently.

Falsehood flies, and truth comes limping after it, so that when men come to be undeceived, it is too late; the jest is over, and the tale hath had its effect: like a man, who hath thought of a good repartee when the discourse is changed, or the company parted; or like a physician, who hath found out an infallible medicine, after the patient is dead.

You ever do something really , really stupid? Sometimes it takes time to admit to yourself that “yeah that was pretty dumb”. Some people may say one thing in a poll but I guarantee a lot of people are secretly thinking they did a really stupid thing voting for the democrats.

Currently - approval for Biden indicates you approve of no

Dec 22, 2021, 8:47 AM

longer having Trump. That % is not going to come down for a while...

I agree. Some are still under the delusion that we are better off with Biden. Not sure what world they live in but some are still holding on to “but, but, orange man bad”.

Re: Currently - approval for Biden indicates you approve of no

Dec 22, 2021, 9:55 AM

Yeah, agree. Hadn't thought of that. Another example was a post recently by Unfinished still grousing about Trump. Of course, BHam also.

It just seems so obvious that:

1) So many people voted for Biden due to his rants about Trump failing on COVID. Turns out more people have died now under Biden, and the end does not seem to be in sight. The waffling continues. Mask, don't mask. Close schools, open schools. Don't people who voted for him realize he was full of BS on this?
2) Candidate Biden said he was a moderate and wanted to unify. He's done nothing but move left, and the first inkling of unification I know about was yesterday when he said something positive about the last administration's work on Covid.
3) Border in shambles. I suppose Dems could view more poor, uneducated, people who need welfare and free medical as a good thing.
4) Afghanistan. He blatantly disregarded what seems to have been everyone's advice. Got people killed. No one should like this.
5) Cognitive decline. Ditto.

What was the better alternative for Afghanistan that would have guaranteed fewer than 13 casualties? I'll wait.

Oh I don’t know maybe get civilians out before you remove the military?

Re: Currently - approval for Biden indicates you approve of no

Dec 22, 2021, 10:47 AM

That's exactly why 13 soldiers were killed. Getting civilians out who were still there 100+ days after they were told to GTFO ASAP. If you waited till all the civilians were out, we would still be there and we would be accumulating casualties. Try again.

No need to try again. You have your own facts as usual.

My facts are correct. 13 soldiers were killed because they were trying to get civilians out. Prove me wrong.

Look Trump had a plan to evacuate. Those terrorists new if they ignored the terms we would rain hell on them. Biden ignored the plan. That’s why people got killed. Fact.

The 2020 election was more of a middle finger to Trump and telling him to pack his chit and GTFO rather than a vote for Biden.

I still don’t know why you can’t wrap your mind around this…we would be better off with ANYONE than Trump. If it’s Biden against Trump in 2024 and the country is on fire due to Biden’s incompetence, I would crawl through the flames to vote for him.

Re: How can it be

Dec 22, 2021, 10:40 AM

I think it's because Dems are happy Trump is gone. Most Dems I know think Biden sucks, but are thrilled he is there over Trump's chaos. I don't trust that stat due to probably how the question was probably asked. I think most Dems would be happy with a different Dem, but like I stated, are thrilled Trump is gone. The Independents like myself don't like either one of them, but I am thrilled with Biden over Trump.

Same way Trump had an 82% approval rating among pubs?

Dec 22, 2021, 10:49 AM
