Funny how the same people

Oct 11, 2020, 8:20 PM

That believe Kyle rittenhouse should go to jail for murder are mocking the trump supporter who got murdered for spraying pepper spray.

Also the shooter wasn’t official security. There’s going to be a huge lawsuit.

do you have a list of these people?***

I myself don't have a position yet, actually.

The guy who died, Lee Keltner, was obviously a militarized derp out looking for trouble. Anybody who runs around with the "Patriot Muster" or whatnot with an industrial-sized can of Mace for doing that level of social work is a pretty clear wingnut.

That does not mean he needs to be dead. Depending on what the circumstances were, the guy who killed him might indeed well be guilty of murder. Let's start with: was he licensed to carry? Exactly like Kyle Rittenhaus, if he wasn't, he could be in trouble right there since you can't claim self-defense if you're committing an illegal act. Also: who started it? From the photos it surely looks like Keltner unloaded his mace on the security guy and duly got plugged but depending on the circumstances - which I have no knowledge of, seeing as how I was not there - if it turns out there's more to the story than the obvious one the pictures are telling and the security guy did aggravate or escalate the situation somehow, sure, he probably will be charged and should be.

Self-defense is one thing. If the guard turns out to be a self-appointed cowboy who came off the handle, no, I definitely don't support it.

You can open carry in Colorado. Maybe there's a law against having guns at events like this. Did he have it concealed?

Will need video to see how it got started and went down. Witnesses may provide conflicting accounts. The shooter has an advantage though since the other guy cannot tell his story.

Maybe the victim feared for his safety first - maybe he saw the weapon...

I won't make fun of him.

Oct 12, 2020, 7:59 AM

Because it's a man who tragically lost his life, and I'm certain there are people whose lives have come crashing down as a result. Were his actions stupid? Yes. Did he deserve to die for them? Absolutely not.

What this case is doing is immediately showing the political hackery from those of you who have defended Rittenhouse at all costs. I'm certain T3 will be on here to somehow explain that this case is different.

What really boils down to is this: Y'all are okay with someone shooting and killing people at these demonstrations so long as the shooter is on Team Trump/Team "Law and Order"/Team anti BLM. That's it. It's not about self defense or gun rights or defending property. Y'all just want them to kill some "libtards".

And you know what? Anyone who wants Rittenhouse to go to prison but not the security guard is also a political hack for the same reasons.

There are some of us who actually understand right and wrong regardless of politics. Here is the only right answer: Both Rittenhouse and this guard are murderers, and both should go to prison. And both of them will. Again, trying to defend one and not the other is political hackery.

You know what else? I'm not going to dig up a bunch of crap on this Denver victim to try to justify his death like y'all did with Rittenhouse's victims. Because his life history doesn't mean he deserved to die this weekend.

Calling a murder a murder and demanding justice is the only correct route. It's sad some people here tie themselves into political knots to defend it when their perceived side pulls the trigger.

I’m ok with people shooting people when they are defending themselves.

Like if an angry mob is chasing you while you are trying to extinguish fires and then somebody shoots a gun and then somebody tries to grab your gun.

Or when the mob is chasing you and somebody bashes you’re head with a skateboard and then another guy comes up behind with a gun.

If those things happen, then I’m cool with self defense.

If some overweight idiot is standing there with bear mace, I’m not ok with shorting them in the head. Two 100% completely different scenarios.

So am I. That doesn't apply in the case of Rittenhouse or this guard.

They aren't different scenarios. They are two people who lost control and shouldn't have a gun. Again, defending one and not the other is simple political hackery.

1. I don’t want “libtards” to die. This is just another one of your made up fantasies about who trump supporters/conservatives are.

2. There is a huge difference in the two situations. In the rittenhouse case He was being chased by an angry mob that was trying to take his gun and using weapons to hurt him. This situation is a fat man spraying bear made that gets shot in the face.

3. Looking up past backgrounds help determine motive. When the attackers have a violent record, record of pedophilia, etc it really shows that these probably weren’t the best people in the world. In the last case, it really seemed like the guy who got shot was a good guy. Don’t know what he was thinking going out there with bear made. Very dumb decision.

This was the victim.

Oct 12, 2020, 9:13 AM

1. Nope. There was sheer glee on this board over who Rittenhouse shot. The motive for defending him was very clear. If he had been BLM or Antifa, it would have been a different tune.

2. Nope. Unless you can to count the Denver victim as dangerous by physically accosting the shooter and then spraying him. One of Rittenhouse's victims wasn't armed.

3. That doesn't establish motive at all. And again, you're falling into political hackery. "He was a good guy"... why? Because he supported your political side? Because he was a veteran? Again, you're attributing value of life based on background. Who a person was has no bearing on any of these shootings. None of them deserved to die.

So who
Do you think should have feared their life more? Rittenhouse, or fake security guy?

2024 purple level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

How can I judge that?

Oct 12, 2020, 9:22 AM

I wasn't inside their heads. And it doesn't matter which one feared for his life more.

What I can see is two people using lethal force to kill others when the threat did not match the firepower.

Two people let their emotions get the best of them, sadly, they had guns on them when it happened.

You started a thread to call out people for their hypocrisy over both shootings, yet here you are exhibiting the same hypocrisy.

Oct 12, 2020, 9:30 AM

No you won’t judge that because you are a hack.

Fortunately for me me, I have the ability to critically think and realize that these two situations are completely different.

Fake security guard shooting(more could come out): what we know now is that an overweight man was standing there spraying bear mase. The fake security guard decided to shoot the guy in the face.

Rittenhouse: he was trying to extinguish a fire that was started by the violent mob when they descended ipon him. He started being chased when the victim threw something at him and missed. Then somebody fired a shot, rittenhouse turned around and the violent victim tried to grab his gun. He got shot. After this rittenhouse was running to surrender to the police and the mob started chasing him again. He was attacked by 2 different guys with deadly weapons and he shot both of them.

Re: How can I judge that?

Oct 12, 2020, 9:52 AM [ in reply to Re: How can I judge that? ]

Nope. We've already established that defending one and not the other is partisan hackery.

You aren't exhibiting any "critical thinking". Usually, when someone throws that term out, they don't know what it means, and this is a good case. If Rittenhouse were BLM or Antifa, you would be demanding his imprisonment. If dude with the mace was BLM or Antifa, you'd be cheering the security guard.

Why am I not a hack? Because I recognize the wrongdoing in both cases. And if you really want to argue self defense in the Rittenhouse case, you can argue it here as well. Mace, particularly bear mace, can be extremely dangerous to someone with asthma or other breathing problems.

That being said, self defense doesn't work for either of these cases.

And finally, it's mace, not mase.

You are a hack because you are trying to equate the shooting despite the obvious differences.

You did the same exact thing with the antifa guy sneaking up behind a trump supporter and executing him in the street. We literally had this same conversation.

Shooting somebody in the face while posing as a legit security guard after they mace (you happy) you is not proper force and is murder. It doesn’t matter what side they are on.

Shooting somebody after being chased by a mob is self defense. This wasn’t just an ordinary group of protesters. This was a violent mob that is burning down a town with weapons and a reputation for beating people to a pulp.

So what do you think would have happened to Kyle if he submitted to the mob? They would have peacefully disarmed him, and then formed a drum circle while singing kumbuyah?

I know.

Shooting somebody after being chased by a mob is self defense. This wasn’t just an ordinary group of protesters. This was a violent mob that is burning down a town with weapons and a reputation for beating people to a pulp.

Not if you entered into that mob with an AR-15 to try to oppose them. That's how the prosecutors are approaching this case. When you go to an event like that, armed, that means you were seeking out trouble.

So what do you think would have happened to Kyle if he submitted to the mob? They would have peacefully disarmed him, and then formed a drum circle while singing kumbuyah?

We don't know because he just started popping people. I can tell you what would have happened if he never showed up to the riots with that rifle...

Everyone and there mother agrees that he shouldn’t have gone to a riot. You could say the same thing about the victims as well though.

This is one fact that you are missing.

“He asserted himself into the mob to oppose them.”

This is your assumption and not based on fact. Kyle was on camera and he said he was there to protect businesses and administer medical care if needed. He was already in Kenosha because he was a
Lifeguard there. He was spotted helping clean graffiti earlier that day

The mob descended upon him while he was using a fire extinguisher to try and put a fire Out that they started. He wasn’t walking through the mob to intimidate. It’s very obvious to anyone that isn’t a partisan hack.
