Style points for the committee.

The curse of being #5.

An 'L' to a 'W'. It's notch above 'common core' math over there.

that's not the issue... starter being in up 35--7 is fine

Nov 16, 2019, 1:44 PM

The issue is the decision to make him the starter in the first place

It was still in the first half. Trevor was still in our game

Nov 16, 2019, 1:47 PM

last week in similar circumstances. Now, he was not playing with a previous injury, that is the difference.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

yep... the issue is that Tua started the game at all

Nov 16, 2019, 1:48 PM

not that he was still playing in the first half

They could have won that game without Tua

I'm gonna go against the grain and say Saban's explanation is acceptable and makes sense. Dad things happen sometimes.

I also think Dabo would have had TL in the game under the same circumstances.

Re: Why was Tua still in?

That question will be asked for a loooonnngggg time if Tua is seriously hurt and will certainly be used against saban/bama on the recruiting trail for a very looooonnnngggg time.

How can any Clemson fan ask this question?

Nov 16, 2019, 2:27 PM

We will send Trevor Lawrence on a QB run up by 28 points in the 3rd quarter.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Is Trevor hurt?

Nov 16, 2019, 2:28 PM

Limited in mobility?

2024 orange level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Thank goodness, no. But Tua was good enough to play.

Nov 16, 2019, 2:30 PM

He had a sprained ankle. Hundreds of QBs have played over the years with a sprained ankle.

It was bad luck. Why do we have to try to make it a controversy all the time?

TL isn't injured. Tua just had surgery a few weeks ago that has a significant recovery time. He's clearly not himself and not moving very well.

And for the record, I hate the TL runs...I wish they would just keep him in the pocket. We have too many good skill players for TL to have to be running all over the place.
