Remember the Big Snow in 82-83?

Jan 16, 2022, 12:31 PM

Some of the guys from F-5 Annex and I got a keg of beer from TTT. We carried it to Riggs field (intramural field in those days), buried it in the snow, drank and played football for hours. That was the best snow by far that we had while I was there.

Yep, busted my tail in a fall and made my head bleed. Went to Redfern for precautionary measures, wasn't serious. They said I was a stat in their head count (pun intended) for possible closures. Can't remember if and what closed. Snow and ice didn't bother me much then; hurts my old joints some now.

I was at home that weekend. We had 24" plus in Orangeburg. In true Clemson style my friend came over to my house on a tractor with a trailer hitched to it. We went around having fun. Miles of I-95 was closed down with a lot of stranded motorists. WOW, that was a long time ago! Good times with Tiger buddies.
