Steele is a good coach.

Steele's (lack of) defense LOST Clemson the ACC Championship Game in 2009.

Put in Chad Kelly! Time or QB run every single down!***

Wow, Chad is going to have a field day with them when we play next year, especially if Swag Kelley is QB.

To be honest though Brent didn't do a great job of stopping

Jan 9, 2014, 5:26 PM

the qb run either vs. the Coots. My wife has never played a down of football but on third down every stinking time she knew what was going to happen. Why he didn't is beyond me.

Re: To be honest though Brent didn't do a great job of stopping

Jan 9, 2014, 5:31 PM

SCar only had 312 yards of total offense and that is with our offense giving them the ball back 6 times. There were some plays that Shaw took off and he had a decent game but overall, the defense played more than good enough for us to win in Columbia. We just kept giving them the ball back.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It is just not that hard to understand. The D stopped them

Jan 9, 2014, 10:22 PM

twice and the punt team gave it back before the D could take a seat on the bench. The coots got about 80 yards on those two extra possessions and 10 points I believe. If you don't think a muffed punt lost the game, then look at our own game against OSU..............

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Better them than us!

Jan 9, 2014, 4:27 PM

Seriously though, good luck to Coach Steele except when he plays against us.

We may not have to throw a single pass against Louisville

Jan 9, 2014, 4:29 PM

next season and may still win by 40+.

Jan 9, 2014, 4:37 PM

If they can't score more than 69, we win easily.

Re: Hopefully we make him break his hand

Jan 9, 2014, 9:33 PM

Steele gets another chance in the ACC, wow. Might be interesting to see if he has learned anything, the guy did have a few great years at Clemson to be fair, but he had one awful year and I guess we all suppose he is inept at this point. I don't know for sure, but he feels like an average type DC to me, not a game changer, maybe he proves me wrong. The guy just refused to simplify the D at Clemson to the point that his all star D players were even confused wth he was trying to do. He might be a better NFL coordinator, college players seem to have issues with his complicated schemes and it led to massive breakdowns in his final season at Clemson, where he had great players to work with. I do not expect big things from him at Louisville, maybe I am proven wrong.

Well to give Steele a little credit in 2010 his D gave us a chance to win every game
