Reportedly he was traveling 115 mph in a 55 mph zone…
And a mail carrier vehicle was involved…that’s not good…
I imagine it is true …..
Prayers for all involved…Davis wasn’t injured but all reports indicate it was a serious accident..

I imagine it is true. And Fred will hopefully learn a lesson accept the consequences of his actions that could have been so much worse. This isn’t something he can’t come back from. There will be a punishment.

I'm just wondering how they could come up with the exact speed he was running without a GSP tracker, or something with the on board computers recording his speed!!!

It probably wasn’t an exact speed but they can figure out from skid marks damage distance the cars traveled after impact pretty close the speed it would take for it all to happen.
They basically mathed the #### out of it.

They also had a warrant to pull the information from his cars computer. Not much you can get away with now between that and the handy tracking device most of us carry.

Let's not jump to conclusions here. There is no report of drugs or alcohol being involved. An "investigative report" says he was going 115mph. I predict that report will be proved wrong in court if it even gets that far. Let this play out in our justice system. Many have had accidents driving and heard the other side exaggerate the wrong doing of the other party. Patience. Let the court decide.

This is ridiculous. How you arrived at the notion we will be doomed because we stayed out the transfer portal is beyond me.
Kid was speeding. Got reckless driving. Not drugs. Not robbery. Not violence. Just driving like an idiot. He will face his consequences and be back with the team. It’s unfortunate his decision seriously injured an innocent person and I’m sure there will be restitution. But this doesn’t warrant any extreme punishment by Dabo. I think he will be out for GA game and probably have a very tough camp. But outside of that I’m not seeing much here. I do hope the mailman recovers fully and fast, and that Fred learns from his mistake.

you can say there was not violence involved or that he was just bein an idiot. It was bad and people shouldn't be downplaying how serious it was. He almost killed multiple people and one was violently and severely injured.

Hopefully, the mailman and the other injured driver can make a full recovery. This would then lessen the emotional and legal impacts on Fred. Prayers for the injured drivers. Based on the article, the police think the recovery period for the injured postal worker will be significant.

Let the judicial system determine his legal punishment for this misdemeanor. He will probably have civil suits to deal with too in the future. He needs to see those he injured driving that fast and apologize in person. As far as with the team, he definitely should be given rules and punished. He should apologize to the team. I wouldn’t let him drive for a year or two and have him undergo driver’s training. I can’t see where this should affect his playing status. The discipline of the team and work ethic of football is something that will help make him more responsible.

The police report noted they retrieved data from the on board computer. They will have the vehicle speed when the airbags deployed at a minimum. Straight forward calculation to work back to when he slammed on the brakes.
